- All of our AR500/AR550 targets are precision laser cut to protect against edge chipping and corner plate cracking. Plates that are plasma cut tend to weaken due to the higher temperatures involved with plasma cutting and are not recommended for firearms targets.
- Our AR550 steel targets are the only targets featuring (3) 1/2" holes to allow for both gong and static mount options. Targets can be hung with our ruggedized chains, straps, hooks, static brackets allowing the shooter multiple options depending on training needs or preferences.
- Our guaranteed 1/2" thick AR550 steel targets are great for all handgun calibers, rimfire cartridges and all centerfire rifle calibers up to .338 Lapua. Please reference our steel selection and use guide to match the caliber of your firearm and our target(s). Adding distance reduces bullet speed and bullet energy. We recommend a minimum safe distance of 25 yards for handguns and 100 yards for rifle.
- All our plates are premium powder coated Red, White, Blue and Gray so you can quickly identify the thickness of your plate and ensure you are shooting the correct plate for your firearm/caliber. Red is 5/16" AR500, White is 3/8" AR500, Blue is 1/2" AR500, Gray is 1/2" AR550. Powder coating allows for rapid location of shot placement. Once powder coating has worn off, simply spray paint your plates. We recommend using the same color as the original.

1 year review. Holding up extremely well and my primary plate brand I buy. Even though pretty much alll ar500s are the same, these are seemingly better made than allen, caldwell and a few other brands that i have come across over the years as well, those brands seemed to take significantly more pitting or edge chipping, maybe those are using cheaper sources for steel tbh i dont know but I figured I should point that out. One important thing to look for when buyin plates is the holes, IF you buy square holed plates make sure they have rounded corners/edges like these do, these also have more metal between the holes and in the shoulders and neck area on their silhouette targets to avoid any chipping or cracking, look for the same with round hole targets you want as much metal around them as possible. I like these so much I bought their full range of sizes and shapes and Ive hit them with literally 50,000+ 9mm and they take zero damge other than paint which is of course going to happen with any brand, I have almost no denting or marks from 7.62x39 or 300 blk as well though I do shoot those at much greater distances than my 9/40/45. Range day before I pack up I just do a quick steel bristle brushin then rattle can on some light blue or white and these are good to go for my next trip to my back range and arent sitting out uncoated in the rain.

Great price on rifle rated metal targets. I’ve hit these with.223 from 50 yards and no noticeable divots or craters. The price is far below most others. I plan on buying more.

Got this in 1/2 inch 550 steel to use for 5.56. Muzzle velocity is a bit higher than recommended (3180 fps / 55 gr) but at 100 yards I'm not seeing any damage after a couple dozen rounds so I am hopeful it will hold up long term. Can't give it 5 stars yet since I can't confirm how long it will hold up. Might be worth a 5 star rating.

I bought the 24'' ar550 steel plate and it pitted on me after shooting at 150 yards with 7mm rem mag with Hornady whitetail 139 grain ammo. I emailed bash targets and after talking with them he explained why, and it made sense with the plate weighing 80lbs it doesn't give much so be aware with shooting a heavy plate with heaver bullets at 3000 plus fps. great customer feedback and service.
