Well made for its purpose. Edited today 11/6/19: I wanted to add that my hat is used to hold the Yi 4K Action camera. It is a small and light camera and there are zero problems when I pair it with the baseball cap. I've wrestled my dog while donning it in full use and until Fido bit the hat-lid and ran off with the entire contraption, both the hat and camera maintained the set position. So, no, don't buy it for wrestlin' dogs or gators or bears, or anything with limbs made of flesh and bone. Tree limbs are cool to climb with this hat; falling, too. ... show more

    • Double sided tape doesn't hold up!
I didn't have much expectations from this had and I was pretty right... I took it on a 10 mile hike with a hero session 5 attached and about the 8 mile mark the double sided tape failed and my go pro was dangeling. Ended up carefully pulling it off completely and replacing the stock tape with 3m heavy duty tape. In the process of removing the clip part from the base one of the retainer ears snappedso I bailed on it. Now I just have a hat with a weird patch thing on the front... I'm sure it would have failed MUCH sooner if I had a normal larger go pro on it. ... show more

I like that my hands aren't in the way of the picture or the video. But you don't know what you've filmed until you look at videos unless you are linked to your smartphone the entire time you're filming.

I was trying to secure my camera and since the tabs were brittle, it snapped. I used crazy glue to fix as good as new

Work great but not perfect for those with short forehead since the camera weighed down to the front and bothered the view. The Velcro strap in the back of the hat also pulled off my hair when I took off the hat. Again It is a hand free gadget for my camera.
