Description

Cherry lumber has no rivals that are as easy to work, fine textured, strong and regal in color. It's highly rated in all working properties, including wood bending and turning. Cherry's color ages to a richer, rusty red brown with any clear finish and has a reddish-brown color that darkens slightly with age. This wood accepts stain very readily and will take a high-gloss finish. Cherry wood has a fine, uniform texture with a smooth, satiny luster. Grain patterns are typically straight but can be irregular.

These were very nice pieces of wood but all four came with a round divit running across them too deep to just sand out. But the wood is beautiful, did not split out when being drilled/tapped or screwed in. I’m using these as braces that support a very heavy custom butcher block desk, and i hand finished them to fit in with the finished desk. They look good. But honest opinion, for what this wood cost, there shouldn’t be ANY imperfections like what these four pieces came with. ... show more

It's very hard to get cherry wood around here, particularly in small and accurate cuts. These were perfect for a small-sized turning project. One piece had a small crack that was going to be taken off anyway when I rounded it. Good wood, nice grain.
