I'm gonna start by saying I don't have anything to compare this to so I don't know if it's any worse or better than anything else. With that being said, I love this mask! I used to sleep with a pillow or my arm over my eyes and realized I liked the weight and pressure that it gave me... but I didn't like the poor circulation. I had NO clue they made products like this but on a whim decided to look into it and after reading reviews I picked up this one. It's been a few months now, and I still sleep with it. It's very comfortable and adjustable. It can get annoying because there's a little bag of sand inside the soft outside sleeve and the sand moves around, but that's also what makes it great because you can push the sand around to hit whatever spot you need the pressure, or less pressure. It makes it completely adjustable to your needs. I have not tried to freeze or heat it (so I can't review that part), although I'm sure it will work and the next time I get a headache I might try it ... show more

I am a night shift nurse and have tried lots of sleep masks, but this one is the best one I have ever used! I am a petite person, so the adjustable band is perfect! The weight and coolness of the eye mask is so relaxing and feels great! The cooling feature would also be great for someone who has a lot of sinus pain/pressure. Wow! I've worn a number of different types and brands of sleep maaks for several years. But this particular brand of sleep masks stand above and beyond all of them! The weight of the mask and the large size on my face helps out me to sleep almost immediately! I'm able to wear it comfortably even though I wear a CPAP to sleep. I got a NodPod a few years ago and LOVE IT. I tried getting this for my mom since she wanted one that fastened to your head so it won't fall off when you roll over while sleeping. This was basically the opposite of a NodPod. With the NP, the heavy pieces are sacks that you place directly on your eye... I describe it like a weighted blanket for your eyes. With this, the weighted piece surround the eyes, so your eyebrows and undereye areas would have the weighted part rather than your eyes. My mom did not like it and we returned. ... show more

Bought two masks and have only opened one of the packages, but found the mask to be extremely comfortable. The first night I tried the mask with the weighted pouch in place and slept very well. The coolness and the specific weighting of the pouch made for a great night's sleep. Even when the pouch is removed the mask fits snug as a rug. I occasionally work well into the night and have found the mask is second to none for blocking out any light during the daylight hours. Great product and reasonably priced. It sure beats having to purchase blackout curtains for the bedroom. I can't wait for my next long commercial flight to try the mask. I'll surely pass my favorable recommendations on to any fellow passengers who will be envious of my deep sleep! ... show more

This doesn’t work if you have long hair, your hair will get caught in the Velcro strap (I guess I should have thought about that before buying). Also, I have to shake/ smooth out the little balls inside the mask because they like to congregate in certain areas over others. Also not ideal for side sleepers. I love that its weighted everywhere but around the eyes. I actually slept better than I have in a while with the weight, as well as the band around the head doesn't get sore. It's not 100% blackout because the way it is filled leaves a baby gap on the sides of the nose, but it really doesn't make a difference. It's also very soft. ... show more
