  • Excellent Tote Tank!
Size: 32 Gallon
After researching several different brands of portable waste tanks and comparing features, I finally settled on the Barker, and I do not believe that I could have made a better choice. I have the 32 gallon model and it did come with pneumatic tires which is a huge plus and I have already had the opportunity to use the tank and it performed as expected! Here is a list of what I like about it and in my opinion the reasons it performs so well. 1) The pneumatic tires make it very easy to pull and with the 2 swiveling wheels in front connected to the handle it is very easy to maneuver. I pulled it through gravel with no problem and up a utility trailer ramp with ease. 2) The handle is heavy duty metal and strong so you don't have to worry about breaking it and it also attaches and removes by a 'pull pin', a feature that comes in handy when transporting it and you want the handle out of the way. And when storing the tank on it's end the handle will lay flat against the bottom of the tank. 3) The inlet has bayonet lugs to attach the sewer hose securely. (no mess) 4) The outlet works just like a regular RV outlet. Attach the sewer hose and pull the door valve. (again, no mess) 5) It has a combo vent and rinse connection, very easy to rinse. This is a well built, well designed tank! No question about it. Some reviews complain about not having an area to store hoses etc. but in my opinion that is a non issue and easy to work around. ... show more

  • Big and does what it is supposed to do. Did I mention it is big?
Size: 42 Gallon
Bought this to replace my 15 gallon gray water tank. I was getting tired of making dump trips on a daily basis so I figured with this I can empty my entire tank in one shot. Well, it's never that easy. What I discovered is the height of the tank opening is higher than my dump port on my 30' Jayco. Not by very much and if I drop the front of my travel trailer down the margin is even smaller. This isn't Barker's fault and I don't think it will end up making much of a difference because the flow rate out of the on board tank should be sufficient to get most of the gray water out. But it is something you should consider if those sorts of things bother you. The tank comes mostly assembled. I had to attach the axle to the tank which was easy enough. Just put the axle with wheels on the ground, place the tank on top and the weight of the tank plus a little pushing should get it to snap in to place. The blade valve is a little tough to open the first time but once you open/close it a few times it doesn't provide too much resistance. I didn't see any kind of leaking. Both openings (in and out) accept the standard sewer hose connections. It rolls and tows nice behind my truck. I towed it over suspect paved roads and speed bumps without issue. The loop on the handle fits over your hitch ball but there is nothing to keep it there which is kind of scary. One bump and it could easily pop off and send nearly 400lbs of water and tank rolling on those nice air filled tires in to someones campsite. I fixed this by wrapping a bungee cord around the ball a few times which should keep it in place. The tank is big. REALLY big. But if I take the handle off (very easy) it fits nicely in the front of my F-150 (5.5ft) bed and leaves lots of room for other things. I would double check the height of your drain opening with the height of the tank before pulling the trigger on this one. If it's too tall then you could probably save a few dollars and get the next smaller size down. ... show more

  • works pretty decent (UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER)
Size: 42 Gallon
been using this for half a year now and its okay. the original tires were kinda cracked and came apart after like the 2nd or 3rd time i used it, but harbor freight has plenty of replacements so not a huge deal. the tank itself is pretty solid tho the blade valve seems to leak slightly, but i only use it for dumping my showers so it's nbd to me. if i wanted to dump my galley or black tank i'd probably take it apart and inspect it first. it shouldn't really leak at all tho x.x the arm is a little sus. it's held in by a pin with a captive ball bearing instead of a bolt or something, but it seems to do okay somehow. i usually use a cambuckle strap to help secure it onto a ball receiver so it doesn't try to fly off of there. it's best if you don't go too fast or too far with it, it's def not meant for much road use lol the level gauge is kinda useless lol, it restricts air flow too much when you're filling it and opening it to have more flow makes it liable to just fly off from the air pressure xD overall, it's okay and it gets the job done. this bad boi can fit like a week or two of showers so i don't have to gear up my whole house to take it to the dump as often. it fits my entire grey tank with some room to spare which isn't something other tote tanks can say. EDIT: coming up on one year now and destroyed that set of tires from the harbor freight lol. while trying to change the whole tire and rims out with a set of solid rubber ones i realized something that's kindof a pain: the way the wheels are held onto the axels is with a cap with slats cut in it that is set up in such a way to be really hard to take off. good for keeping the wheels on the axel, but not good for replacing them when needed. i think it would be better to have holes drilled into each end and just use a washer and cotter pin to make it easier to facilitate replacing the rims and tires easier when need be. going to make this modification (plus the solid tires, non-pneumatic) and see how that goes. been holding up okay otherwise! haven't even had the arm pin pop out like i thought it might. ... show more

  • Fantastic tank
Size: 42 Gallon
This thing is great. I love the 42 gallon capacity. I’m able to empty an entire tank into it. The pneumatic tires are great. I often haul my tank over gravel and asphalt and it does great. I hook the handle up to either the 2” ball on a side by side, or the 2 5/8 for my camper and it works great. When towing it behind my truck I do have to use something to keep the handle on the hitch when going down hill. This seems to be because of the height of my truck. It’s not a big deal though, I just take some rope and tie it so that the handle can’t slip over the top of the ball while going downhill. The tank is made of a real heavy duty material. It comes with a drain hose that has the knobs on both sides. It also has a small hose that allows you to hook up a garden hose to wash the tank. The gate valve works really well and doesn’t leak. I definitely recommend this product!! ... show more
