Look, I'm a texture fiend. My home is filled with silk and sheepskin, minky fabric and chenille. I LOVE SOFT. All the Barefoot Dreams products look and sound so unbearably soft and cozy when viewed online, and they cost an exorbitant, truly comical amount, which sure would HAVE to indicate they are made of the magical fur of some enchanted mythical fluff-beastie, hand-gathered and spun by angels. I gotta hand it to them - for coziness addicts such as myself, their branding is off the hook. They know their audience. And for a moment, there, I bought it - literally. However, when this sweater arrived, what I got was... well... *not that*. Its color, instead of being a soft, minky fawn, was a just washed out, muddy, and depressing, taupe-tinged greige. I removed the sweater from the mostly-open bag it was shipped in and felt it with my fingers. I mean, was it soft? Sure, it was soft. It was soft. Not sumptuous. Not delicious. Not even quite soft, just a normal amount of soft. Not nearly as soft as my cheap Costco fleece blanket. Not anywhere near as soft as any of the other things I have draped across every surface for the purpose of being soft. The weave was a bit open, and I imagine this would be snagged in no time flat. The pockets had one long stich connecting them to the body of the sweater, and that flimsy stitch was definitely not long for this world. And as for the texture, it was entirely meh. It felt fine - I mean, it wasn't, like, scratchy, or anything - but by no means was there anything great or special about it. I could see paying ten bucks for it on markdown at your favorite big box discount mart, but that's about it. I think it's hilarious people are paying over $150 for this cheap nothing of a sweater and then joining in the chorus of praise for this truly sub-par product. Had it been anything special at all, I'd have been one of them, but for this? Hard NAH. If anything, Barefoot Dreams is just proof that the more you charge for something, the more special people perceive it to be. But special this ain't. Returned.

For those of you wondering if these are worth the price, I say yes - I have three of them and live in them: they’re cozy, comfy and so cute. They’re the softest material - like teddy bear soft - and so warm. I wear mine everywhere. Definitely worth the price. I’ve had no issues with snagging or unraveling. I wash mine in a garment bag on cold and then hang to dry. I love, love, love these - would buy them as gifts for all of the women in my life if I could afford them! I have the XS and it fits perfectly. Quite long, so looks great over leggings and skinny jeans. So warm and snuggly! Buy it!

Love the cable texture. Extremely warm cardigan, you can go to Alaska midwinter wearing this. Very thick and soft and fluffy. Color could be less grayish and a bit more clear /warm, reminds me of dirt. Fit is perfect, xsmall = true to size. Waited for a long time for this item to go on sale.

Absolutely love this sweater! I've been living in it ever since i got it. I have their blankets so I know how amazing their products are but I was still impressed with this! It's sooo warm and soft and it still looks super cute! Love the way it hugs my neck Now I want to purchase another color!
