UPDATE: So yeah... the replacement sheets are fine. Fitted sheet went on easily. Not sure what happened there, but I'm glad I gave it another try. Love these! --- The elastic band in the fitted sheet was way too short. The sheet itself was the right size, so I know the problem was with the band. I just brought mom from the hospital today after a prolonged stay. I'd gotten these and washed them so they were ready for her. When we got home all she wanted to do was sleep, but the old sheets were long gone and the fitted sheet on this just would not go on the bed. I wrestled with it for about 20 minutes, trying to get the band underneath the bed as much as possible so it'd be long enough. No such luck. When I tried to force it the band snapped. It is only due to the popularity of this brand and particular sheet set that I am exchanging this instead of returning it. Don't make me regret it Bare Home! I bought these to match the comforter. They are so soft and comfy. They also fit very nicely. The fitted sheet has elastic all the way around so it stays put - I have a 16 inch mattress and no issues. I liked all the colors and went with gray. They fit our king with a 3" mattress pad on top of our mattress! They fit snugly between the mattress and box springs and are pretty soft. I bought the Cali king size cause I wanted the flat sheet to fit oversized but the fitted sheet fits tight on my mattress (12in) & the flat sheet fits like a regular sized king sheet. It feels and looks nice though.
