The media could not be loaded. I was hoping that $106 dollars per twin duvet cover would become an amazing investment but unfortunately the fabric is weird and feels really "cheap". I washed it, then washed it again with vinegar, tumble dried but it stayed as stiff as a material they make raincoats with. I had high hopes to have a quality bedding but the fabric is just plain unbearable. Watch the video and listen to the difference between this cover in grey and an organic bamboo cover I used before. I'm bummed out because I hoped for something special.

This is 100 percent cotton "percale" (the way it's woven. , so it is not as soft as some people might be used to when they think of 100% cotton. But we have used percale sheets for decades and I actually really like them. They are crisp and smooth. These are lightweight, bright white, perfect for summer. Not sure about sturdiness. Time will tell.

! want you all to know that I received 100% cotton percale that is, as it should be, cool, crisp, tightly woven, weighty but light, and prone to wrinkling. The buttons on the duvet cover are the right amount, not too few, and are placed so that they tuck in and are hidden. The buttons on the sham are on the outside about a 1/4 of the way from the end of the pillow. It does seem like they would be uncomfortable to lay on but so far I've only used it facing down so my face didn't come in contact with them. FYI the shams are definitely on the small side and are a real standard size, not edging into the queen size range. I did have a problem with some supposedly organic 100% cotton percale sheets I ordered from another company that don't appear to be real cotton percale, so I feel like I got lucky here having received what I was expecting.

Even though this is the most expensive bedding I’ve ever bought (I’m cheap) I’m so happy I bought this. I also bought the matching fitted sheet to go with it. With my previous microfiber duvet cover and Jersey knit sheets, I was waking up in the middle of the night literally drenched in sweat (my hair and clothes were damp, it was that bad). Even keeping the AC at 68 degrees and having 3 fans on full blast pointing at the bed didn’t help. The first night with this set on the bed felt like GD heaven. The bed felt so cool and comfortable. I haven’t been waking up feeling like a swamp monster and I couldn’t be happier about that. The fabric isn’t super soft but I imagine it will get softer the more it’s washed, even if it doesn’t it’s not a deal breaker. This is going to be the only bedding I use all summer. It fits my king size quilt and pillows well. The corner ties keep the comforter in place. It seems well made and like it will hold up for a long while. The color is true to the picture as well. It arrived quickly and was packaged very well. The bedding even came wrapped in a tote bag that says Bare on the side which is interesting but neat. So you get a tote bag out of it too. Win-win.

I have been searching for a new duvet cover that is the exact right texture and color for months and months. I have a Brooklinen classic duvet cover and it has been Amazing for almost 2 years but I wanted more colors for more looks. Unfortunately, I don’t like any of their other color options. Every other comparable manufacturer was too expensive or did not have the right colors either. Why is it so hard to get a linen colored duvet that isn’t linen?? After ordering and returning many duvets from many companies, I decided to try this one from Bare because I finally found the color I wanted in the percale fabric I wanted. On first inspection, it is a near perfect match to Brooklinen. The texture is right on and I can tell it will give me that cool crispness I want. Even better it is the color I wanted! I really hope they add more colors. A deep green for Christmas would be nice! I will be ordering more because at this price point, who can blame me? Extra bonus is the plastic-free packaging and the nice tote bag it comes in.

Absolutely love this duvet set. I got the salmon/coral color and it is very vibrant yet in a very modern and matte kind of way. I am in love with the percale texture. BUT ONE MISUNDERSTANDING that I often see people complain about is that they say the texture is stiff or not soft. What's annoying about that is that people don't inform themselves of the details. Percale weave has a very crisp and cool feeling to it. With every wash the weave loosens but it always maintains it's cool crisp feeling. Anyway, The only issue I have with this set is that tags on the duvet/pillow cases does NOT say that it's organic nor does it include the okeo-text info. The seller has those numbers in the listing, for which can be taken to the okeo-text website and verified. But you can't specifically connect this particular set to that serial number without it being listed on the tags. I mean, what's the point then? I buy organic intentionally and as a consumer I want all those ducks to be in a row.

!!! I will update this review in the next several weeks to see how it softens out- I washed it twice before putting it on my comforter and first impression is that it’s almost perfect! Just not quite as soft as I was expecting. With that being said, I’m accustomed to my partners percale duvet cover, and that one is well broken in. I got the dusty purple color and I am SO happy with it, it’s beautiful. I have every reason to believe that once this is more lived in, it’s going to be everything I wanted. I’m told that percale is supposed to soften a lot as you wash it throughout time! As of right now, I’m very happy with it.
