I Was unsure if I should purchase this fabric because it never said 100% linen. Only linen and 100 percent organic. It was a nice price so I bought it. I did every possible test I could find to see if it was linen including the burn test, water test, wrinkle test and light test. It passed all from what I could see. The ONLY DOWN SIDE IS it was half a yard short. For the price I would still recommend giving it a try. I loved the feel and the color. No bad smell. ... show more

Just what I needed for pattern practice

Size: 5 Yard Color: Khaki
The width of this fabric is 55" from selvage to selvage. The fabric's weft has a bit of stretch but not on the warp. The fabric could be smoother and softer but has some texture, and it could be used efficiently for clothing, bags, etc. It appears to have some breathability. I got the khaki color, which is a tad on the darker side of khaki but not an unpleasant color; very neutral. The cut sides did not seem to fray easily, which is a bonus. The drape of the fabric is about medium, just about right for a somewhat structured piece of fabric. You'll need to use interfacing if you need a very structured garment. I look forward to trying it for aprons or other simple garments. ... show more
