I am very happy with this Barbour Ashby jacket, which I understand is a more trim version of the Bedale. I have never owned a Bedale, but based on recommendations I sized up from a medium to a large and it fits perfectly. Great seller too, the jacket arrived in less than a week!

This is a great jacket as advertised and delivered by seller in a very timely fashion considering it comes from England in these times. One caution though, make sure to check your size. I had a Beaufort Lightweight (no longer made) for many years in a medium and it is a generous fit. A medium in the Ashby did not fit, so I had to return and due to time had to shop elsewhere. Return processed promptly less shipping, so my mistake was costly in shipping and time.

I got the classic Barbour jacket I wanted at a very good price. Not made in England anymore but if you go to the Barbour outlet (I did)...they (Ashby) aren't made in England anymore there either. Compared to other models that are made in merry old U.K. I could not find any difference in construction, materials, quality etc. Very happy with my purchase.

Perfect blend of classic style without the baggy fit. The medium Ashby fit me well, I normally wear a 40R in suit jacket. Sleeve length is perfect and I can layer a sweater underneath. I’m 6 ft tall and 150 lbs. Seller was a pleasure to work with and resolved a minor issue. Shipping speed was incredibly fast UK to US.
