Very pleased with these radios. They are easy to program directly on the radio itself. In my opinion, there really is no reason to have to use a computer to program these unless you are wanting to setup like 20 channels at one time. The radios have good range for me (2.75 miles) in rural country with trees and houses and hills. Only lost signal when I went below a large hill. I have been successful in setting them up to work with a repeater that is nearby. The FM radio works well on these and you can listen to the radio and still send/receive transmissions on whatever channel you were on before you turned on the FM radio. The scan function works well in both frequency mode and channel mode. I was able to listen to some folks apparently working on a John Deere somewhere one evening. Overall, these radios are a steal. Less than $50 for two radios/chargers. The spare antenna is a nice addition too. The included earpieces are not for me. I tried one and they wouldn't fit my ears so I just ordered some better ones. That's another good thing about these, the jacks for the earpieces/microphones and the most popular two prong type available so you should have no problem finding accessories for these radios. Get your $35 GMRS license and purchase these radios, you won't be sorry.

The radios have a good solid feeling in the hand. They are loud and clear. They have very good range and clear transmission and reception at range. I will follow up with more info when I've had more time to use the radios.

Radios are good and somewhat easy to program manually. The next day the tx CTCSS turned to the off mode and we can't get it back on . There's no Baofeng support if bought from this seller. With that said, the radio to radio works ok, once connected to a repeater they work great untill the tx CTCSS turned off. Radio to radio we got about 1 1/2 miles with lots of trees around. Our radios turned off the tx CTCSS with no way to turn back on, so we can't transmit to the repeater. I really wish the tx CTCSS mode would work, the radios are nice

These radios are an unbelievable value! Two radios for the price I expected for one radio! Not only that, the radios are built well, include LI-Ion batteries with a charger for each, plus two antennas and headsets! How do they design, build, ship, and sell for this price? Anyway, get an FCC license via the FCC website for $35 and you can talk with these radio directly for a mile or so or with a repeater for up to 30 miles! Only one big trick to setting up the radios to use with a repeater . . . you must program the "sub-audible frequencies" in "CHANNEL MODE" (not frequency mode!) for the pre-programmed repeater frequencies. The manual is not clear on this! Hurray, nice radios at a great price and I love radios!

So these are pretty nice radios. The Abbree 771 antenna's get great reception. I've compared it with a Signal Stick and seem to have very similar performance. Heck, I even bought another Abbree 771 for a different radio even. The ear pieces are typical cheap-o ear pieces. The sound is horrible, but they do work. Easy to use the functions. Easy to program with the Radioddity GM-30 software. (yes, Radioddity, not Chirp) They pull everything I need and all NOAA stations. Sat here the other night listening in on channel 21 chatter, crystal clear. So the only gripe I have is switching channels. You can't just punch away at the button and go a bunch of channels at once. You have to wait a half second or so when going up or down for the next channel to load. I don't have that issue when scanning, it goes relatively quickly. Just doing it manually isn't the instant gratification you might be used to. Bought these both in green. It's a nice olive drab color but has a sheen. I love the usb-c charging, but wish it was on the back of the pack like my GMRS-9R's are. You need to lay these down to charge with the cable which isn't as practical all the time with the 771 antenna attached. I'll probably 3D print a stand for that which will accomodate the cable. FM radio feature is pretty nice as well. Sometimes I just use it as an FM radio when I'm out working.

I read some of the reviews on this particular unit and for the price I had to go ahead and give it a try. Very impressed with the build quality and look at the unit. Performance wise. The unit works great and I love that it is rechargeable. I bought a two pack and both came with recharging cables and two different antennas. I was able to use this particular handheld unit and hit a repeater and was able to talk to someone over 2 1/2 hours away owning one of these radios will require you to do a little bit of homework far is watching YouTube videos far as programming it, but there are a lot of people out there more than happy to show you how it's done I don't think you can beat these radios for the price. Highly recommended.

These radios are fine and seem to be of good build quality, but I have no idea why they’re advertised as having 8 watt power output. The GMRS limit for this class of radio is 5 watts. The item description is misleading and incorrect. Docking some stars in the rating because of the false advertising.

Ok first the negatives. 5 watt hand held radios only get you so far in suburban Ohio. Secondly there are not many repeaters around. The positives are these work so much better than your general use walkie talkies. I spoke to my wife exactly 3.5 miles away (no repeater) when she sat in the middle of the room upstairs. I was outside. Battery works well at high power. Radio is moderately easy to use and it’s fun to see what you can get out of it. Once I Really figured out the repeater programming bit (watch notarubicon on YouTube). And use the directions and use mygmrs.com and repeater book. I hit a repeater 21 miles away and spoke to some chaps and hit one 25 miles away both were not perfect but we could talk. I could not hit a repeater 10 miles away to the south due to buildings and hills and probably only 5 watts.
