This umbrella blocks the sunlight well. It does not hold up to anything other than a light wind or the umbrella starts to flip. The umbrella is also hard to close as you need to push it extremely hard in order to close it up. I bought this because I am a college student and when it rains it POURS! I was looking for a higher quality umbrella that I could also fit in my backpack and this one does it all! Not only is it big enough to cover myself and my backpack from getting wet, but also when the winds get strong it does not bend or shift to the side like others do. And just to add to all of this, with just a couple of shakes of the umbrella it’s almost completely dry and ready to take inside.     • Broke during first use, bought second one and it arrived with open/close mechanism non-functional

I bought this umbrella in August, but just used it today for the first time. After the second time I closed it, the open/close mechanism will not work anymore, it will not open at all. If you press it, the button does not move in or out. It is too late to return it, but I will contact the company to see if they will remedy my purchase. UPDATE: So, no help from the company. So I bought another one, since it seemed that not everyone had trouble with their umbrella. However the new one arrived and the open/close mechanism will not work AT ALL. Returning it, and I hope Amazon will look into this defective product. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It is a really good umbrella. It withheld a lot of rain and wind but the issue is when I opened it and pressed it it broke and it seems really sturdy and I only did it on one button, so I’m kind of disappointed that happened because I had good hopes for this umbrella
