Description

Bando has been manufacturing rubber products and is the OEM supplier. As an OEM belt manufacturer, the serpentine belts are precision ground two times to insure adherence to OEM specification. Belts produced from a mold process will not achieve the exact rib profiles that are required by OEM suppliers. Bando belts are made with EPDM rubber which adheres to OEM specification which is heat resistant and long lasting. Bando USA manufactures belts in Bowling Green, Kentucky. All Bando belts are produced to one premium set of standards with only OEM quality. They manufacture power transmission belts for the automotive, industrial as well as agriculture providing complete coverage for domestic, import and light truck. Bando USA, with an ISO and QS9000 certified plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky has 16 additional plants located in 10 countries producing belts for local OEM. Yes the ribs are not as wide but it's brand new! Just like how when you get new tires the tread is a lot different than the old, worn out tires, maybe a different pattern altogether. Anyway I was hoping for made in USA but installed in a Subaru so I'll deal with the Japan made part. Those with super shredded belts check pulley alignment. Old belt might've been stretched enough to work and the one is just not as forgiving. I think Bando is high quality, I chose it over Goodyear and dayco options. ... show more

Had an old belt that would squeal and I could tell it was skipping over some of the pulleys and being the type of engine it is you don’t want these to break at all. So simple maintenance and preventative maintenance will save you a lot. Install was easy and the car runs smoothly the way it should. I noticed the old belt was stretched and cracking. This belt is quality even noticed the Kevlar that’s built into the belt that’s something I only see on Gates Branded belts but for much less will definitely last and I’m happy with my purchase. ... show more

Have not used this belt. Bought it as a spare for my old truck because you're screwed if you can't replace one when it breaks. Easy to change out with a tool or two. Don't know how long it will last or how many miles.
