I recently had to spend a couple days in bed recovering from a surgery so this table was much needed. It worked and provided the function of dining table and desk OK, but always required conscientious attention and care to ensure a leg wouldn't fold in on itself (especially if it wasn't straddling my legs) or the tilt angle would drop. For example, I wouldn't trust it for a open container of liquid. The finish suited me fine for my needs -- it's not a high-end product, after all -- but I would be happier with it if it were a bit more robust or had a way to lock the legs in the open position. At ~$25, it's fairly priced IMHO, but not a bargain.

As someone with chronic illness and disability, I'm so grateful for products like this. There are days I can't get out of bed at all; my body just isn't up for it. Unfortunately, my mind is rarely as completely shut down as my physical body is, and there are times I need SOME kind of mental stimulation. Even a relatively mindless game of solitaire or re-reading a well-loved book - something to take my mind off the various aches and pains and discomforts. But when things are really bad, even holding a book or a tablet or my phone is too painful, too tiring. This adjustable, angled tray is the perfect solution. I can prop myself up on the pillows that support me enough to sit upright, and prop whatever distraction I'm using at the angle I need on the tray. The legs of the tray angle out, so they give plenty of room for my legs (and I have lots of leg...); if I'm using a laptop or tablet, there's no heat on my lap or the blankets, and if I adjust my position or switch to a different activity and need a different angle, that's easy to achieve with a quick adjustment. The attractive tray is also ready to serve (pun intended!) as a lunch or snack tray, and is even large enough to write on comfortably. The legs fold up tidily for bedside storage when it's not needed, and its smooth mahogany finish is a nice complement to my bedroom furniture. At the current price point of ~$25, the price can't be beat for such a useful little helper. Great Quality Tray with Room for Improvement I recently received this tray and overall, I’m quite pleased with it. The craftsmanship is excellent. It feels sturdy and well-made. The finger holds are thoughtfully designed, making it easy to handle, and the brace system for propping it up is solid and reliable. That said, there are a few considerations worth noting. The tray is smaller than I expected, so I’d recommend double-checking the measurements before purchasing. While it does fit over my husband’s lap, it’s a snug fit, just barely wide enough. One area for improvement would be adding a latch to secure the tray when it’s flat. Without one, the tray can unintentionally swing open if picked up from the wrong side, as we experienced when it slammed against the counter. All in all, it's a nice addition for its intended purpose, but a few tweaks could make it even better!
