  • It’s actually not bad
Style: RS 90
Where should I start.....well first off upon checking to make sure all the parts were there I noticed from the beginning it was missing a plate. There was supposed to be 3 plates of one size and one plate of a different size. I ended up getting two and two. Not a deal breaker but one part lacks some rear support. Doesn’t seem like it messes with the overall structure though. Second, the video they have assembling the item goes in a totally different order than the manual does so pick one and stick to it. Third, the manual starts labeling the wrong bolts halfway through so you kind of have to get the hang of which size bolts go where but it didn’t mess up my installation. I don’t know why they use plastic pieces for the metal to pivot and slide on for the flys. Everytime you use it it rubs into plastic dust. The chair adjustment holes weren’t parallel to the seat so if you use the holes in the seat to raise or lower it the seat will be crooked and not straight. I just leave the seat all the way in and don’t raise it. The weights are actually heavy enough. The way the pulley system works makes the resistance more than the weights themselves. An “avid” gym rat who can bench over 180 pounds can max the bench press part out. It’s plenty heavy for flys and bis tris leg extensions and abs. You can max out pull downs but it’s a little too straight up and down and there’s nothing to lock you into the seat so when you pull down you lift off the seat a little. I’m lucky I bought this machine when it was in stock when it first hit amazon for $499.99. For that price I’d bump this up to a 4 start rating. But I checked recently and they raised the price almost twice as much. Overall it’s a good little machine, I can get good workouts in with it. It’s not the sturdiest machine when heavier weights are being used. Took me about 4 hours to put together with no breaks. You’ll want a good socket wrench and a crescent wrench. An impact drill would probably shave off 45 minutes of setup. It looks professional and functions fine. It’s a great add on to any little home gym cuz you can do pretty much any muscle group with it. There is just some little quirks with it is all. ... show more

  • Good Luck!
Style: RS 90XLS
Where do I begin! First, I have to say good luck to whomever buys this gym. I ordered the RS 90XLS versión which comes in 5 different boxes. I received 4 of the boxes rather quickly with one of the boxes MIA. I assumed the missing box contained the hardware as it was missing from the other 4 boxes. I contacted UPS who referred me to Amazon so they could check the status. The gentleman at Amazon was extremely helpful and he quickly sent a replacement order since the missing box was stuck in transit and MIA. Meanwhile the missing box from the first order finally arrived......as I tore open the box in hopes to find the hardware, I was quickly let down as the hardware was not in this box either. However, I wasn’t too disappointed as I had another 5 boxes in route (keep in mind I have a small studio apt in NYC, so finding room for both gyms is gonna be challenging). So now that I have pieces of gym equipment all over my apt like an obstacle course. Rather quickly, I received the second shipment of 5 boxes and played a guessing game of “which box has the hardware.” Low and behold I guessed the correct box in my first attempt. I somehow feel like I deserve an award for managing to do this successfully. As I brace myself to assemble the gym, I first watched the video several times in hopes this would make the assembly process go smoother (based on tips referenced from the other reviews I read). However, the guy in the video assembles the gym so quickly that you find yourself pausing many times just to try and keep up with what he is doing. Anyhow, I kept the video in mind and in standby when reading the instruction booklet. As I started assembling the gym and trying to match the bolts to the instructions and diagrams, none of the shapes and sizes actually match (e.g. M10 x 85 is actually M10 90 and 12 of one bolt is actually 8 of one and 4 of another). I went from instruction booklet to video dozens of times, back and forth, to try and piece this together. I don’t know how I did it (after having to screw and unscrew bolts several times to find a good match), by the grace of God I managed to put this gym together. So, if you can put together IKEA furniture with no instructions, do puzzles blindfolded, turn water into wine, or perform any other amazing tricks that very few people can do then this gym might be easy for you to assemble. But for the rest of us: *have lots of patience *be prepared to read the assembly instructions while simultaneously watching the video dozens of times (where you then feel like the guy in the video is now a family member) *don’t tighten all the bolts tightly until the end as you will most likely have to swap out bolts until you find the right one *curse repeatedly (or pray to Jesus) And Godspeed! ... show more

  • Great for the price! Does most everything you would want...But makes you feel like the Hulk!
Style: RS 90
First of all, assembly was not as bad as I expected. A second set of hands will make life easier, but I feel like I could have done this all on my own. The only tricky part at all is the pully system, and its just a matter of reading the instructions and watching the videos (cable goes over this one, under this one etc). This fits perfectly in my garage gym. It came with pretty much every attachment you would want, I did decide to grab a triceps rope and am happy that I did. It comes with something that would work, but the rope just feels better to me. My only complaints...I am 5ft 9 and 240lbs and this does feel a little tight. Not so much that you don't have a good range of motion, just a little tight. Also, if you are going to use the curl from the sitting position get ready to have somebody hand you the bar. Unless you have crazy long arms, like Sony Liston long. Also, I think that some of the workouts the resistance goes up to the 380LBs as advertised, there is no way that the bench press does. I am pretty strong, but I haven't been able to bench over 315lbs for the last decade, let alone 20 reps of 380lbs...great boost for the ego though if you just pretend the numbers are right. Feels like Unbreakable with Bruce Willis everyday in my garage. For most people the weight is probably enough, but if you are a heavy lifter or bodybuilder then you will need a separate bench with some weights. Will still work fantastic for flys though, unless you actually are the Hulk. ... show more

  • Worth the money for all you can do
Style: RS 90XLS
The assembly was pretty straight forward and easy to follow the instruction. And for the money, one can get a full body work out for all the option. I wish though it came with a simple picture post of the different workouts that can be done. I read other reviews before buy, and mine did not have any missing pieces, but a couple of bolts were miss labeled. My one hesitation is that it can move on you with heavier weight selected or when I among the end of the bar dip. The leg extension is crappy. I am 5-9 and I and can't do a full leg extension, someone with longer legs will really struggle. ... show more

  • Unusable product with terrible design flaws
Style: RS 90
This product was poorly designed and built. I have owned other home gyms in similar price points that were way more sturdy and well made. Shipping boxes showed up with pieces poking through, and damaged. Several bent parts and punctured cushions. Like and pulley system gym I was prepared for numerous parts and hours of build time. However once out together I found the welding of the already assembled pipes to be crooked to the point that the seat would not line up with the backing and the leg raise would raise at an angle. The seat also at its lowest setting is too tall for anyone under 6ft. I’m 5’8” and my legs were dangling. The machine itself wobbled by 6” once built. That is how off the welding of the pets were. The worst part is that the arm pad is connected to the leg raise and therefore not stationary. So if you want to do leg raises you have to remove the pad all together. Terrible design. One more part would have made this a non issue but with all the other flaws I don’t know how much better it could be?? Amazon customer service has been awesome though. I received $220 in discounts due to the damage and poor shipping. So I decided to give it a shot and spend an entire day putting it together only to find it is completely useless. Now I must take it apart, somehow box it up in these shredded boxes and find something else. Do not buy this product. Oh also, BalanceFrom support line is some ladies cell phone with a full voicemail box. She will reply to your email to say speak with Amazon about any issues. Terrible product. ... show more

  • Not Missing Pieces
Style: RS 90XLS
Many reviews said it was missing pieces, but we decided to buy it anyway and try our luck. Let me say.....there are no missing pieces. Several are labeled wrong. It looks like they did not update the diagrams compared to the instructions. We had to look on the list of parts a few times to match up what the instructions said. All the parts are there, you just have to figure it out a little. For example, it’ll say M8x10, but the actual screw you need is labeled M8x25 shown in the list of parts. For a whole gym under $1000 it was totally worth it, and we set it up in about 2 hours. Also, the video was extremely helpful in setting this thing up as well. ... show more

  • Home gym
Style: RS 90
I am 6'4" tall and 265 lbs. This gym is not made for people my size, I can use it but its not easy for me. This is a great starter gym for and average size person, If you're over 6' 2" I would not recommend it. I don't see the seat holding up very long with my size. I paid $699 for the gym, overpriced in my opinion, $399 or under would be good. It is well made and easy to put together but not worth the price, they are all overpriced because everyone is buying them now due to the virus. My son is 5'10 and 190 lbs and this fits him great and has no problems. Stay away bigger guys. ... show more

  • Very nice gym with very good metal material.
Style: RS 90XLS
after a hard time and almost 12 hours putting this gym together and dealing with wrong information with bolt sizes in the manual and actually wrong bolts (M12 instead M10), I must say that I am very happy with the result. The gym has the perfecct size for my patio and looks very solid. I started with a basic routine right after I finish the set up. ... show more

  • Great starter home gym addition
Style: RS 90
Love this item so far. I think it great for a home gym or for someone just starting out. Took me about 5 hours to unbox, carry upstairs, assemble and test it out. Not to bad considering I was also watching my kids and took a lunch break. The cable was initially very tight and I had to put pressure on the top weight and put the stick in the heaviest weight to get the cable to stretch enough to where the top weight sits flat with out the stick in place but after 2 days it’s perfect! It does seem a little wobbley in the front if trying to pick up a heavier weight while standing. The instructions for putting it together were mostly clear but kind of difficult to read. Just make sure you use the right screws in the right place because there were no extras. Totally loving this machine and I can’t wait to do some lat pull downs! ... show more

  • Decent unit if you’re a smaller person
Style: RS 90XLS
This is a good home gym for a smaller guy. I’m 5’8” and the leg extension is tight on my legs. It seems a little light weight for its job, and the range of motion on some of the parts isn’t great, but all in all, it’s a decent unit. The instructions could be a little more detailed, but it is what it is. ... show more

  • Great machine!
Style: RS 90
This is a great starter gym especially during quarantine right now. Person in picture is 5’ 7” and can use all features this machine offers with ease. The assembly took about 4 hours and even though the instructions weren’t 100% easy it is still very manageable to understand and put together. The video link they provide is also helpful but the guy putting it together in the video doesn’t go step by step and does not follow the directions, but we did use it to help us finish. You are able to do leg extension, pull downs, chest press, butterfly, curls, and a few others. It is a very versatile machine and does not take up a lot of space. It is currently in between our treadmill and storage rack. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting gym equipment with lack of space since you really only need this and a cardio machine. Thank you balance from! ... show more

Was missing some hardware but was able to get what I needed at the local hardware store. Assembled fairly easy. It's not as sturdy as I had hoped and really frustrated that it took so long to get, then before it arrived it got discounted a little from what I originally paid. one of the cables already had the sheathing coming loose on one end. Style: RS 90
It’s easy to assemble about 90 percent of the part but the arm cable is not easy to understand and assemble from the video or guide book provided. Overall, it’s a good machine for person less than 165lbs and short.
