The fit is terrific. They say 21-24 inches. I measure 23.3 and it is comfortable. Not baggy but not squeezing my head like others I own. The versatility of that chin bar adds wonderful functionality. It adds a layer of wind resistance over the ears, too, for when the wind is really cutting through. I'm in Wisconsin, with winter temps down to 0 F (actual, windchill -20 F) this thing is all I wear on my head. The fabric is a little constrictive to breath through when running. A little looser weave would be better. The only thing I'd point out, not because it's bad, but because it isn't as described is the material. It is not Polar Fleece, which is thick an bunchy. It's more like a spandex with a thin fleece-like fuzz on the inside that makes it cozy. It's hard to describe, so I'm not taking away a start for that, I just think you should know. This does fit under my motorcycle helmet. Actual polar fleece would not. Lastly, it seems like really good quality material and workmanship for the money. ... show more

Great purchase. I'm working in only 20 to 30 degree weather. Keeps me warm and the face shield is breathable. Does not sit tight around your neck so you don't feel like you are being choked. The only heads up I will give is that it does fog up eye wear.

It is NOT a thick material more like a nylon/athletic wear feel. No fur or cotton or wool. However, it is comfortable and it is breathable as advertised. I would say its good for strong chilly or windy but not snowy weather types.
