The BAGSMART laptop bag is smartly designed and looks fashionable but conservative enough for an office setting. Pictured is the black 16” x 11-1/2” (true to size) bag holding my 14”-diagonal HP EliteBook work laptop. The bag was carefully packed for shipping with a silica desiccant packet and shrink wrapping, leaving no odor. The bag’s structure is pristine and designed for action, not just looks. The fur lining and quilted sides are substantial and protective, top zipper is sturdy and pulls easily, and the clips on the strap rotate. I ordered the larger bag for the 14” HP EliteBook to allow room for the power cord in the fur-lined interior; there was plenty of room while the bag stayed flat. The bag is so sleek that it's easy to miss, but there’s a small zipper with a tiny pull on the front with a full-size outer pocket if you want to store the cord or extra items there. This is a replacement for a floppy blue neoprene sleeve I purchased in a hurry when starting a new job 5 years ago. The BAGSMART bag is a cut above, and I’ll be proud to carry it to the office or around town. ... show more

It isn't the thickest laptop bag that will protect your device from falls and heavy objects, however there is enough padding to protect from random scratches and some rough handling. While it certainly does fit the advertised 15"-16" laptop, I found that my 15.6" (actual dimension 14" x 10" x 1") was still quite the tight fit. Not only that, but only slim laptops of less than 1" should be used as because the bag was almost full to bursting there isn't much room for accessories to fit in the side pocket.
