I am a die hard Jansport fan. I've had the same backpack for 13 years and still going strong with hard use. I recently wanted to get another for my kiddo but my wallet is a bit light these days so I settled for this less expensive brand. As far as durability/sturdiness it's hard to say if it'll stand up to the Jansport or not but so far so good. I'm impressed with how much it could hold. It looked a bit on the smaller side but since Amazon makes it simple to return items I figured I'd take the risk to give it a try. It was a decent buy for the money. It held everything I needed and even things I didn't. My only complaint is I wish all the bigger pockets had double zippers because this lefty kept getting frustrated of trying to get in it with it still on my back and reaching with the wrong hand. Not really a huge deal though so I would still purchase it over again knowing this detail. There are plenty of pockets for organization. There are two loops at the top, one clearly better for hanging it up and the other more comfortable to carry by hand if you so wish. ... show more

I bought this for my daughter in middle school. She loves that it can hold so much and that it has so many pockets. She said the straps are comfortable. She also really likes that there's a place for her Chromebook, because she has to bring it home to charge everyday. I think it looks better in person than in the pictures here on Amazon. When i ordered it she wasn't crazy about the purple color but she liked the bag very much and she says she keep it because it's very light and lots of pocket and has extra padding on back handle and behind the back of it. Sits comfortably one my shoulders because it has a decent amount of padding. It has three front pockets on the front ranging from small to medium to large. Then you have your actual pocket where you store your books, there’s also a pocket inside that pocket where you can store something like a laptop. Bought this for my 5th grader and she absolutely loves it! They have virtual learning days where she has to bring her laptop home and it’s nice that there is a protective spot for it. She also likes to be prepared for ANYTHING and always carries a lot of stuff, this book bag has so many pockets she can organize all her belongings and easily find them.
