After painting one room with this brand, I am now likely going to finish the entire house with it depending on what colors we want - just worrying about one room at a time for now. The white is so nice, it opened our small room up a ton and brightened it just right. Allows us to use dark accent colors as a pairing too. Very good quality, love the packaging and how easy it is to use, and I can vouch that it is a thick opaque coating that we personally did not need a primer to paint over 4 light blue walls and a yellowing ceiling. We did end up using 2 coats in spots with the leftover paint but 1 coat really did look impressive right away. Not sure what a normal drying time is but we felt like it dried fast the same day we painted it. This was a good experience choosing a color online since it was accurate to the images. ... show more

I got the moon white. Came in packaging that made me feel sufficiently like a millennial buying paint made for millennials who don’t paint with their parents paint. It is a neutral, non offensive white. Only real point of feedback is that it isn’t a one coat and done kind of coverage. I painted an off white kitchen wall white and like I mean very pale off white to white, not orange or hideous Beige to white, and it took a good 3 coats to really get there. Which was approximately the entire gallon, it’s a bigger wall. Secondary point worth pointing out is to take seriously the necessity of stirring this paint well prior to pouring it from its very handy spout. Don’t do a half stir, don’t jump ahead to pour even after doing a full stir and mild shake - stir the paint. Do not pass go, do not proceed to pour -stir. “Stir and stir and boil and bobble” and (don’t boil but I thought a Macbeth reference would assist in making the point) - stir heartily prior to using. Decent paint. Feel like my wall is sufficiently not screaming “boomer cheap” any more. ... show more

I used this paint for the first time today and while it went on really nicely it made a huge mess. When I went to open the paint and pull the plastic seal off it splattered all over my dining room requiring a lot of clean up before I even got started.

I bought this to coordinate with a grey/ beige color from the same collection. I was disappointed that the colors did not mesh because the Harvest Moon is not as warm of a white as the description implies. It also does not coat well. I initially tried using it to paint cabinets without primer, as per the claims that primer was not needed. That turned out badly. I then primed the cabinets and found that although the paint adhered better, the results after 2 coats were lackluster. Backdrop charges 50% more than other brands, but the quality does not justify the added cost. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Okay I’m obsessed with backdrop. Their colors are gorgeous, the packaging is wonderful, and the smell is next to nothing. I was able to paint my living room without having to open the windows (I live in an old house, the people who get it, get it) Pros- - quick drying. I was able to do 3 coats in 3 hours - technically covers without the primer - easy pour container with an easy to reseal cap - the cost is relatively affordable considering the cost of paint - even painting my living room I have a quarter of a can left! Cons- - you can’t pick it up in store - you have to order the swatches to decide if you want it - it took 3 coats to cover up my previous green from Behr ... show more

Best paint I ever used. Covered a very deep blue accent cabinet in white paint. Wood was dry and soaked in every drop. A few coats and it looks amazing. Washed off easily from skin and hair. You won’t be disappointed.
