  • Back in the Saddle: One INSPIRING story of the journey it takes to find ones devine purpose.
Format: Kindle
I loved and really enjoyed this womans story of Back In the Saddle. What stood out to me most was the author's honesty and transparency. She was willing to talk about the struggles, obstacles, and hard truths that so many of us experience in life but don't feel comfortable talking about publicly. Those experiences made her story feel so very real and relatable. I also love the analogies she used to explain her struggles and how she connected those experiences to other areas of life. It made me think about my own challenges and how some of the lessons she learned could apply to things I struggle with too. The reflection questions at the end of each chapter were something I really appreciated as well. They were simple but meaningful and gave me a chance to pause and think about my own life instead of just following along with her story. This book was definitely an emotional ride to read. There were moments I felt heartbroken reading about her losing the simplest abilities that most of us take for granted. Then, watching her slowly rediscover those abilities and how she blossomed with each one brought such an overwhelming feeling of joy. It really made me stop and appreciate what really matters in life. I also really liked how openly she shared not only the physical side of her recovery, but the mental and emotional side too. She didn't sugarcoat her limitations, and I think that honesty made her progress and wins feel even more powerful meaningful. Overall, this book left me feeling hopeful, grateful, and a lot more aware of not taking everyday things and relationships for granted. It's a beautiful reminder that sometimes the smallest wins can actually mean the most when we count our blessings. ... show more

This book is amazing! It’s so well written and interesting I’ve read a lot of books but I would never guess that this book was a first book. The book is so inspiring, and shows the depth of her strength in overcoming the struggles of growing up and motherhood all while continuing to gain weight and eventually reclaiming her self! It’s a honest and heartfelt book. Loved it ... show more

  • An amazing inspiration
Format: Kindle
To my dear friend. You always inspired me when Tyler and Danny were playing football. You were the football mom who had it all together (I was so envious of you because you made everything look so effortless during those football meals and cheering on the sidelines). I’m so happy and inspired by you for telling your story and being a ray of hope to all of us who struggle in one way or another. And when I was going through my own dark time. Your messages gave me strength and comfort. I’m so darned proud to call you my friend. ... show more
