🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Babytrend Jogging Stroller Travel System is generally well-regarded by users thanks to its functionality, maneuverability, and ease of use. While some cite dissatisfaction with the car seat, most reviews suggest that the stroller delivers excellent value for the price, providing a smooth ride and ample storage space. Color options appear to be fairly limited, but the teal variant seems to be highly favored and deemed gender-neutral by users. While weighing nearly 36lbs, this durable stroller is expected to last a while even with frequent use.

Pros

  • 💼 Generous storage space.
  • 🔁 Excellent maneuverability with a lockable front wheel.
  • 💪 Durable and rugged design, built to last.
  • 👶 Car seat includes a built-in level for the safest possible positioning.

Cons

  • 🚼 Carseat deemed adequate but comparatively low quality for long-distance usage.
  • 🏋️ Stroller is somewhat heavy, which could be an issue for some users.
  • 🎨 Limited color options, although the teal is widely appreciated.
  • 🛠️ Stroller folding could be easier and more ergonomic.

Should I Buy It?

If you're in the market for a jogging stroller that can tackle different terrains and last for years, this could be the product for you. The car seat may not be top-notch according to some reviews, but it serves its purpose for short trips. Thus, this product may work best for those who primarily need a durable, reliable stroller for jogging and other outdoor activities.

  • Excellent Travel System – Smooth, Safe, and Convenient
This Baby Trend Expedition Jogger Travel System is absolutely fantastic. The stroller rides smoothly, even on uneven surfaces, and the large wheels make it perfect for walks or light jogging. The infant car seat clicks in easily and feels very secure, which gives great peace of mind. It’s comfortable for the baby, easy to maneuver, and offers great value for the price. Setup was simple, and the design is both sturdy and stylish. I highly recommend this travel system to any parent looking for quality, safety, and convenience. ... show more

  • This is a great system. My son is one month old
This is a great system. My son is one month old, so we have been using the car seat regularly and just used the stroller for the first time today. The car seat is pretty standard. We purchased an Eddie Bauer head support to soften the car seat up, because the material is extremely thin and seems like it would be extremely uncomfortable. Baby seems much more comfortable with it and falls asleep as soon as he is placed in it. Another issue with the car seat is the canopy; one side repeatedly pulls off of the attachment. I'm not sure why or how it keeps doing this, as the other side stays firmly attached. It's more annoying than anything, because you can easily fix it or even still use as normal without reattaching, but things like that bother me. Finally, the release for this car seat is under the child's feet. I had a Graco car seat for my first, so this is a real pain in the butt as I can never remember where the release is and usually end up tugging on the car seat for a few seconds until I remember what I'm doing. Even so, the car seat is decent quality for the price of this system. It definitely seems comparable with the Graco I used to have, and I have not been worried about my son any time he's been in the vehicle. I also really like the handle, which I find much easier to carry with than the Graco handle. Finally, I also like the harness system, which isn't too difficult to buckle and comes open easily. I'd say invest in a comfy head support, though, if purchasing. The stroller is amazingly smooth and unbelievably easy to open and fold. I mean, seriously, I have never seen a stroller so easy to fold/unfold. This system gets 5 stars off of that alone. I love that there is ample storage space underneath the stroller, as well as four (you heard me, FOUR) cup holders! This thing is practically a Cadillac! The drawback of any jogging stroller is the size, which isn't super convenient, but hasn't been an issue for me, and isn't nearly as large as some behemoths I've seen. Additionally, make sure your husband doesn't air up the tires at the gas station using the air machine, or he could easily over fill the tires. If this happens, part of the tire will pop out from the rim, and then the stroller will wobble side to side. I'm not saying my husband would ever do that, but, yeah, he totally did. In all, I love the product, especially with the price!! Totally worth it. ... show more

  • Updated at 3 months old Updated at 3 months old
Style: Jogger Travel System Color: Millennium Blue
If I find that during use this stroller doesn't live up to what I expect, Ill rewrite the review... but my husband unboxed it Friday and it's VERY nice especially for the amazing price... you can assemble in seconds no tools required, I made him do it but if I realized how easy it was I would of... everything just snaps in place... the material looks very durable and high quality on both the carseat and stroller... the wheels roll smoothly and pivot and maneuver easy... Im just amazed I was able to purchase something with all the features I wanted (3 wheel, tire wheel, mom cup holders, baby cup holders) those were most important, and it was 57 dollars less than at Walmart!!! I hope baby likes... Ill update. Baby is 3 months old now and I still love the stroller, but not as thrilled... I probably still would purchase this due to the value, it's durable, has held up from daily use (I literally throw the folded up stroller in and out of our truck bed) not recommended but it's what i have to do... and the stroller holds up great, obviously the plastic gets a little scratched... the tires hold up great too they roll on ANYTHING... the stroller is very lightweight... with my first LO i used a snap and go that someone gave me but this thing is so light weight i drag it with me everywhere as my snap and go lol... the storage is adequate and I'm just very comfortable with it... Cons... The baby will definitely need a snuzzler or blanket wrapped around head when little, it can be uncomfortable for my LO...the straps are uncomfortable and I don't like the cheap plastic snaps... the tilt in the car is not my baby's favorite position because she has reflux... normal babies will be fine... rolling around she is comfy with the help of blanket padding... I keep her straps off when rolling and have a blanket under her padding it... that's not a suggestion just my personal choice... remember mobile babies can get out! The coverage of the dual shades is amazing though... I have barely used the regular stroller and it might be nicer when she's bigger but the sides have hard plastic that's uncomfortable and the straps are very uncomfortable... However those come being said I will use a blanket/padding any day to avoid paying 500 dollars more for slightly more comfy... my baby does fine... ... show more

  • Killer Deal for a Jogger/Car Seat Combo! Killer Deal for a Jogger/Car Seat Combo!
This is the only pic I have of the car seat! Not trying to show myself off! Lol This is baby #4 for me so this isn’t my first car seat/stroller rodeo. My friends have all these insanely expensive strollers that don’t even come with a car seat and base so you really get your money’s worth with this combo! It’s sturdy and easy to clean with just a baby wipe. The base was installed in my car by REMSA, and since my car’s middle seat can flip down for cup holders it wasn’t safe enough to put an infant car seat in the middle. So this is why it is on the passengers side. Not my first choice but I can’t get a new car any time soon. Just wanted to throw that out there in case you might have the same type of middle seat I do. Highly suggest you make an appt with your local REMSA to have your car seat installed. Back to this review...I love the bright orange and black option I picked out because I want cars to SEE me and baby when we go on our walks. This bright orange is actually a great safety feature for that. The cup holders fit my bottled water or a starbucks cup...never hot though because I’m paranoid it could accidentally spill on baby. There’s really no where to put my iPhone XS Max without it sticking out but I like to be present when going on walks with baby so I’m ok with it in my jacket pocket or diaper bag. There are attachments you can buy separately for strollers if you really need more storage space for yourself. The jogger stroller is amazing! So easy to put together and super easy to push. I’m 5’3” 125 pounds, and if I can lift it in and out of the car I’m sure most of you can too. Last but not least, I feel like my baby is safe in this car seat and stroller and not going to lie, I could afford it. I’m not rich by any means but this is the one thing I wanted to buy new for my baby instead of accepting a hand me down car seat and stroller. I’m happy with this purchase. My baby is only 3 weeks old right now so If I change my mind in any way in the future I will be sure to update this review. Btw, this is a killer deal for a good jogger stroller that seems like it will last through my babies toddler years too. ... show more

  • Good product, just not for me!
Quality and everything is great for the price. I purchased this used from amazon in box. My daughter was around 5 months when we purchased this and was faithfully used for two months before she started to complain about space (90 percentile) . We have since upgraded to a Graco 4ever carseat. During that time I used the stroller a handful of times for walks to the convenient store and mostly that was so I could manage the baby and groceries at the same time. I should mention we live on the second floor. So while it is portable it certainly is not something you want to haul up and down stairs every time for use. The storage underneath is not amazing. It barely fit a diaper bag underneath but for the price I wouldn't expect it to have much room. It is easy to use, the wheels lock, the seat is adjustable via cord also has a locking latch when folded which is super easy to use. It easily fit in the back of our Mazda CX-5. The car seat was used far more than the stroller and the combination was used maybe once during a walk at a mall which was handy but honestly since I've discovered babywearing it's just not for me. The best part was the grip. I enjoyed being able to hold it in more comfortable positions than the previous seat we had. This even came with a threading tool to help with proper placement of the straps. The base installed very easily and easily unclipped from the car seat. If you have the type of lifestyle that requires you to frequently use a car with a small child (I mean like below 60 percentile) you may get more use out of this. If you live on the second floor of a condo or apartment I do not recommend this unless you are able to keep the stroller in a vehicle or are okay with making multiple trips up and down stairs. I rated it highly because for some one who would get the use out of this it would be excellent. I however am a SAHM and we are a one car home. There were very few circumstances that I needed to take her with me where a stroller would be appropriate. I ended up purchasing a lillebaby for use with our dog and quite frankly it fits my lifestyle better than the travel system combination. ... show more

  • Amazing! Stroller is the best!
I purchased the black and orange stroller and carseat combo back in 2020 (4 years ago). To begin, the carseat was pretty lightweight and comfortable to carry with the baby in it. The base was nice and secure and easy to buckle in. The carseat went in and out of the base with ease. The stroller is amazing! The past 4 years and then some we have taken this thing on MANY adventures! Mt. Rushmore, The Badlands, Space Museums, hikes up into the mountains, daily 3-5 mile walks. The big tires make everything more simple. Make sure to inflate the tires as needed. This stroller can definitely go places though! It folds up nicely to fit in the trunk and store away. My child was always snug and cozy in it. Slept just fine a lot of times. The back reclines for child to lay back. It also has great wheel locks for safety. Sadly my child has outgrown it now as he is 4. He is 40lbs and 41in tall. When he puts his feet in the footrest his knees hit the tray in front of him. We have been leaving the tray open but clearly he is just getting too big for this stroller. 🙁. As far as wear and tear after everything we've put it through, can't tell, there really isn't any. This combo has been absolutely superb! Going to be looking into the wagons for our long walks that he can't walk long distances. ... show more

  • Better then standard stroller
I use this with my children bought one for my grandkids. They’re very nice for the parent on the go or the person that has multiple things to do. You can go for a job. Throw it in the back very adequate.

  • Great set, but absolutely fantastic stroller.
I purchased this two weeks before my son was born in August of 2020, and we are at almost two years of use. I don't often review products but I love this thing. So I came back to let you all know it. The car seat: The car seat is fine. It's safe, it wasn't super bulky, it was incredibly easy to install, and it made changing cars a breeze if you buy an extra base. While the seat is technically rated to 36 lbs, we found that our son was uncomfortable reclining so far back as he got older and more capable of moving his head. We could not safely change the angle of the seat to help with his discomfort, so we got a new one around 6 months that has those adjustment features but can grow with him to front facing as well. This car seat is specifically designed for newborns and as a set with the stroller, so it absolutely served it's purpose. As far as using with the stroller, the seat settled very securely in the stroller and made my hours-long postpartum walks with my newborn absolute ease. He often fell asleep because of how smooth the ride was but the buckles, while safe, were never too obstructive that I had issues accessing him if he needed a feed or change while we were out. The sun cover on the car seat itself is a nice feature, but it is obviously made for tiny babies and does not hold up to the curious hands of older babies. It was, however incredible for giving my sleeping newborn shade on those early walks, especially in conjunction with the stroller's sun cover. All in all, this was a solid newborn car seat but don't expect it to last much longer than that. The stroller: I'm new to the stroller game, but I've done a bunch of research. It's been almost two years of using this stroller at least once a week, but it's probably more like two/three times a week. And this thing is the most "worth it" piece of equipment I've ever purchased for my child. It holds up to multi-hour walks, jogs, and awkward skips. It holds up to peaceful sleeping newborn and kicking, crying toddler. It holds up to spills and the unexpected pouring rain. My son is comfortable, he's easily accessible, he's strapped in such a way that it makes it hard for him to escape but easy to access, and he always has the biggest smile on his face when he sees it. The seat is adjustable, so when he was younger but too old for the newborn seat, it was easy to lay him back and let him sleep. Now that he's almost two, he wants to see everything and can sit straight up. There's storage underneath enough for the diaper bag, my purse, a ball, a mega bubble bottle, and whatever drinks and snacks I have. The jogging strap gives me security when I've got him out with me on runs (I had to purchase another one because I lost the first, but it's virtually the same). The only complaint I have is with the mom compartment on top: it sometimes doesn't fit my phone, drink, sippy cup, and mom snacks, making me have to stop to pull those out of the bottom compartment when I need them. A little bit more depth on that top and a bit more space in the cup holders would have gone a long way. But the star of the stroller is the wheels. The WHEELS. I can tackle almost any terrain. Sidewalk? Of course. Grass? Sure. Dirt road? No problem. Gravel? Easy. Park mulch? Effortless. Uneaven roads? Fabulous. I take this thing trail running. I've taken it to historic districts with brick pavers instead of sidewalks with my child sleeping comfortably. I've walked on all sorts of terrain, hopped so many curbs. Never a problem. Steering is so effortless, even while running, but especially in venues with more limited space like our local park. I had to use my niece's old stroller when I went to a Halloween event with my sister, and plastic wheels are not it. It was harder to push, harder to steer, it did terrible on sloped driveways and cracked sidewalks, it was a disaster in her newer suburb. The rubber wheels not only make for a smoother ride, they're patchable and refillable. We have a local bike shop near the park and they'll literally take care of it for free. The wheels hold up great, though, we've only needed to ask the bike shop for air twice and we haven't needed a patch yet. If you're on the fence, know this; a few months after my son was born, we took a cross-country move in hatchback. Despite our incredibly limited space, I refused to leave the stroller just out of fear that we wouldn't be able to repurchase the same one at our destination. ... show more
