  • A Beautiful, High-Quality Music Set That Kids Absolutely Love
Why I Got This: I wanted a musical toy set that wasn’t overly loud or plastic-y, and something that would actually encourage creative play. The Montessori style, wooden build, and the soft pink/Morandi color palette made this one stand out—especially as a gift for a toddler who loves making “concerts” at home. What I Liked: Lovely assortment of instruments. The xylophone has a pleasant, accurate tone; the maracas and tambourine sound bright but not harsh; and the little trumpet and castanet add fun variety. It feels like a real mini band set, not just toy noise-makers. Great for early learning. My toddler picked up rhythms quickly, learned cause-and-effect with different instruments, and even started coordinating little beats. It’s a perfect blend of sensory learning, motor skills, and creativity. Gorgeous Morandi colors. The muted pink and warm tones make this set look stylish and calming—much nicer than the typical neon toy colors. It fits beautifully in a playroom or nursery. Very safe and sturdy. Everything is made of smooth natural wood with rounded edges. The paint is water-based and non-toxic, and the pieces feel solid enough to survive enthusiastic toddler play. Perfect for group fun. Great for sibling play, playdates, parent-child music time, or holiday sing-alongs. Kids love picking an instrument and joining in. Makes a wonderful gift. It looks premium right out of the box and has that “wow” factor that keeps kids engaged for a long time. What Could Be Better: The xylophone mallets are small (good for little hands), but I wish a spare pair was included. The trumpet is more of a “blow-to-whistle” toy—cute, but not a real trumpet sound, which some parents may expect. The storage setup is simple; a small bag or box would’ve been handy for keeping all the pieces together. Bottom Line: This is an adorable, well-made musical toy set that feels both educational and genuinely fun. The tones are pleasant, the craftsmanship is excellent, and the Montessori-inspired design keeps things calm and beautiful. If you’re looking for a memorable birthday or holiday gift—or just a way to spark a child’s love of music—this set is a fantastic choice. ... show more

  • Little Maestro's Set: Natural Wood, Montessori Musical Exploration
The Rmischolar Baby Musical Instruments Set is an absolutely necessary developmental learning kit that completely transforms my toddler's playtime, turning noisy curiosity into guided musical and cognitive exploration. The core feature I love is the superior full percussion set (xylophone, maracas, tambourine, etc.) crafted from safe, natural wood with smooth, rounded edges, which delivers necessary durability and non-toxic safety for enthusiastic young musicians. The essential feature is the Montessori-aligned design and soft, aesthetic pink coloring, which encourages essential independent learning and sensory development by allowing the child to freely explore rhythm, sound, and hand-eye coordination. This is a high-quality, durable, and highly recommended purchase that provides superior early musical appreciation, essential safe, screen-free engagement, and necessary long-term support for motor and cognitive skills for parents of toddlers (1-3 years old), Montessori advocates, and family members seeking a meaningful birthday or holiday gift. ... show more

  • Excellent Quality! Would Recommend
I am not usually this excited about baby/toddler toys but I’m really really pleased with the quality of this set! I have a similar Melissa and Doug set and this one seems to be much better quality! Everything is beautiful and smooth. The instruments have nice sounds too, and I love the color palette. I would say it’s gender neutral with its nice muted colors. (Even though it’s muted, it’s still colorful enough to engage the little ones. They nailed it!!) They include so many instruments too! Instruments included: xylophone with sticks, güiro (they call it a “wood sounder”), castanet, tambourine, maracas and a mini clarinet. My little one is going to be so pleased. This is a great, well-constructed product. I would recommend!! ... show more

  • Nice quality instrument toys
I had been wanting to get some musical instrument toys for my son since he’s turning 1 soon and has been really interested in making things make noise. These were a great find! All of the toys came individually packaged which helped them feel extra nice and new out of the box. They are all great quality with no concerns about the wood splintering or anything. They have a great weight to them as well so they don’t feel cheap or flimsy. The only item that feels a little on the cheaper side is the tambourine but it still feels good quality for a little one to play with and to withstand toddler play. I’m really glad I picked this set up as it’s perfect for my baby. ... show more

  • Beautiful Set — Fun, Safe, and Perfect for Little Musicians
This musical instrument set is absolutely wonderful! The quality is excellent, and the soft Morandi colors are even more charming in person. Every piece feels sturdy, safe, and thoughtfully designed for small hands. The maracas are a particular favorite—so fun and easy to play with! The xylophone has a pleasant tone, and the variety of instruments keeps our little one engaged and curious. It’s a great way to introduce rhythm and music early on, and makes a lovely gift for toddlers. We love it and highly recommend it for playful learning and musical fun. ... show more

  • Cheap noisemakers. Good for infants and toddlers but not a budding musician.
This pack comes with 6 instruments - xylophone, maracas (2), a clapper, a tambourine, a horn (sounds like a squeaky toy), and a guiro item where you roll the stick across a ridged surface. First and most importantly, the xylophone has 2 notes that are absolutely the wrong pitch. Since it is for a small child, it doesn’t really matter a lot in most cases. They will still have fun but it will drive the caregivers crazy. The set is lightweight, and feels almost like bamboo wood. The tambourine membrane is cheap and has no ability to be musical but again, kids would have fun with it just banging on the instruments and making noise. All the colors are muted rainbow colors and natural wood. ... show more
