Was looking for something that would allow me to put my son down during the day between feeding and naps. He will only lay in the crib for so long, and so far has not been a huge fan of the mamaroo. Bought this out of desperation in hopes he would like it since he likes to be bounced when being held. I do not have the more expensive options out there, but I couldn’t justify paying $200 for that does the same thing. I will note my son is not big enough to bounce it himself yet, so I just put my foot on there and go while I work at my desk.     • Baby initially didn't like it and then liked it a lot once he got older

We purchased it when my son was 6 weeks old. He intially didn't like it at all and wouldn't stay more than 5 min. If he happened to fall asleep in it, he would startle himself and cry uncontrollably after a couple minutes. We never knew why. So we put it aside and didn't use it for a while. When he was 3 months old, we had a visitor who put him in the bouncer not knowing he didn't used to like it. To our surprise, he loved it this time and was in the bouncer for a good 30 min playing with the star and the moon toy that came with the bouncer and smiling every now and then. Our theory is that it's so thin and light weight that it didn't provide enough support so he was startled easily at 6 weeks old, once he reached 3 months when he could support his head for a good while, he felt ok about it. Now it became one of his favorites with it allowing him to sit higher than the other bouncer we had at home and due to it being the summer, the thin material makes it more breathy for him. I didn't give it 5 star, because the material still feels way too thin to the point it felt a little flimsy. Definitely didn't feel like the durable type, and once my son gains more weight (he's now already 15lbs), I might not feel comfortable putting him in it. It's super handy for those times when I've recently breastfed baby and I can sit her upright for a few minutes to digest and bat at a toy while I take care of some chores. This works now that my infant is older. He's able to kick and create his own movement. Before that, he hated it even when it was me bouncing it. The reclining mechanism is a little tricky.

My daughter loves this bouncer, and will easily sit in it for hours. However, I have nicknamed this the “blowout bouncer” because she has blowouts every single time she sits in it. It never fails, up the front and back, on the seat. Other than that we love our Alpine bouncer!

I bought this so my baby could kick his legs and bounce. He loves it! However, the piece to change the height and fold it is difficult to use AND the little strap that goes around the front of his body is really wide and almost wraps around his back. My daughter spits up a lot so putting her in a bouncer doesn't always work well, until I found this one! She loves this bouncer! It's the only one she'll sit in for an extended amount of time. She's also usually very gassy and this helps to "clear her out". Thankfully it's very easy to clean!
