I have tried several different brands of sleep sacks and this is without a doubt the best. It is soft and warm and the zipper is an excellent quality. It is also very convenient that the zipper opens from the bottom so I don't have to expose more of my baby than need be for middle of the night diaper changes. In addition the snaps on top of the shoulder are extremely convenient, a lot easier to put on than trying to get a wriggly baby's arms through an armhole when they're tired and grouchy. I hesitated at first because of the price but it is now the go-to sleep sack and I only use the other ones if this one is not clean. Sometimes you get what you pay for, that's definitely the case with this sleep sack.

I bought this sleep sack 3 years ago, and it's been heavily used by two little ones daily. The zipper is definitely heavy duty, and I love the fact that it zips from top to bottom. Feeling the weight of the zipper and the quality of the stitching, I'm not at all remotely worried about the zipper separating from the sack. When the sleep sack is zipped, the zipper fits into a pocket that protects our crib sheets from damage and keeps the actual zipper out of little hands. My daughters have always slept better while wearing the sleep sack than when not wearing it. During the winter months, I can put my girls in either lightweight pj's or a long-sleeved onesie and they're more than warm enough when wearing the sleep sack - no extra blanket needed. To be completely honest, I haven't exactly followed the recommended cleaning instructions - I don't wash it on gentle and I dry it in the dryer on a normal cycle with the rest of our clothes instead of hanging it to dry. That being said, it's actually held up really well. There's definitely visible wear and tear (see photos), but I'm about 95% sure that's completely my fault. If you look at the photos, most of the wear and tear on the blue piping is from pacifier clips being attached in the same spot over and over again. There's a hole warn into the liner, but again, I think that's how I was washing it and what I was washing it with. The same with the stitching on the inside that has worked free/broken. After three years of HEAVY use (almost nightly and during most naps), this thing is in great shape, comparatively speaking. I've loved this so much that I ended up buying a lightweight one for the warmer months, and I also bought one as a shower gift for a pregnant friend of mine. I heartily recommend them to anyone I know, and I know you won't be disappointed if you buy it. Once my youngest grows out of this one, I'll probably buy another one in the larger size. They're just that great.

I love baby DeeDee sleep sacks! We had gotten one as a hand-me-down, and I believe my son was the third baby to wear it. It was so incredibly soft and cozy! I bought the next size up for him for this winter. We love the snaps at the top, very helpful when getting a wriggly baby (or toddler) ready for bed! Keeps my son nice and warm, and he still has ample leg room. He is 20 months and wears a size 2T clothing, so we bought the size large. Fits him wonderfully with plenty of room to grow. I had read a review about the quality of the material not being cotton and very stiff. Let me tell you, I am a cotton girl through and through! I am VERY picky. So I will say, yes the cotton is quite stiff out of the package. But as with any other quality fabric, it softens with wash and wear. And it is most definitely 100% cotton. I will also say, I tried ordering the lightweight sleep sack for him this summer and it was a horrible fit. The arm holes and neck opening were dangerously large. I returned immediately and chose a different brand. I was very disappointed because I really love the winter sleep sacks!

We were looking for something that would keep our 10 month old warm. When our baby was younger we used the Halo Swaddle. Than we went to a lined fleece sleep bag from Gymboree that was really warm. During the summer we used the cotton and organic cotton (tad heavier) Halo Sleep Sacks in medium (6-9 months old). Gymboree no longer carries their sleep sack so I spent some time searching the web. I had a couple things that I wanted from a sleep sack: 1) room to grow, 2) darker color, 3) warmer. This sleep sack fits all three. We ordered the 12-28 month which now I realize would be similar to the Halo sleep sacks in XL. These have plenty of length for our little one to grow - unfortunately this one is also big in the neck and when she is moving around in the morning (awake and crawling in her crib) she slips right out of it. We have not had this problem at night however and it has never gone over her face. If I could make the purchase over I would buy the smaller size. The second thing that I like about this sleep sack is the color. It is nice and dark and hides stains. Our little one likes to suck on the top part of the sleep sacks and the lighter ones look disgusting after one use and stained (I do not want to use bleach or stain treatments which are hard to rinse out and baby may ingest with sucking on garment). This sleep sack is now discolored on the inside (white lining with tiny gray patterns - forgot what of) - but that is okay. I would prefer a darker interior lining - but nothing to take a star off for. It is also the perfect temperature. In the fall when the temperature was decent in the evening but the temp in the bedroom would drop in the middle of the night we would put baby in it with a short sleeved onsie (could probably go without one if the neck hole fit better - but this is kinda big for our infant). In the winter we use a long sleeve onsie and she stays perfect - all night! I didn't think I would need the snaps on the arms because infant helps us dress now - but they are useful when infant is half asleep or cranky. Overall I love this - just wish I would have ordered a sz smaller. It looks huge when you first open the package - but it probably shrunk 4-5 inches off the length (still long enough to fit her the entire year though). I think in the spring if it is too heavy we will use it when we are out at sporting events for our older child or make holes in it to use as a stroller blanket.

Size 6-18 months. I really love this sleep sack! It fits my 6 month old baby boy really well! It fits well around his neck and does not rise up over his mouth (which is the major concern of course!), but if he really bunches it up somehow or we put him in a sitting up position, he is able to suck on the fabric by his mouth. That doesn't concern me though, because we only put it on him for bed where he sleeps in his crib. The inside is soft but could definitely be softer. The outside is not as soft. It feels squishy and comfy. I hope that it's warm enough for our cold chicago winters. I can't tell because I can't wear it and see and it's not super thick or heavy to make me think that it's a winter blanket, but he doesn't feel or seem cold when we take him out. His feet are warm so that's good! His little hands get really cold sometimes though, so putting a sweater on him helps. Also, if it's really cold, you can swaddle him good in a big baby blanket and then put him in the sack, but use your judgement to make sure the blankets couldn't somehow get by their face. We do it sometimes and have no problems! There's plenty of leg room, but not too much that it's really hanging on him. I like the buttons by the shoulders and the zipper is thick and seems like it will last a long time! One major issue is that is has been SHEDDING white fluff from the outside of the sleep sack since the first day we got it and I hand washed it and hang dried it!! I worry that this will only get worse!! I can't find any hole, tear or opening in the seem, it just appears that the entire outside is shedding white fluff that builds up. Hopefully this company has good customer service and can send us a new one. For $40, this should not be happening! I recommend this sleep sack IF the customer service is great!

We purchased this sleeping bag for our son because we live in an old building with atrocious heat and it is one of the best purchases we have made for him. He's 10 months old now and absolutely loves getting into his sleeping bag. I ask him if he wants to "get cozy" and it always brings a smile to his face. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if Baby Deedee made an adult-sized sleeping bag because I'd love one for myself. While I can't get in the bag I can tell that it keeps my son incredibly warm. The bag is thick enough, however, that I think it would be too warm for him to wear in the summer. We basically don't put it on him if it is above 60 degrees outside. Based on some of the other reviews I purchased a large bag for my son because I didn't want to get one that he would grow out of immediately. It is a little large, but I haven't found any detriment to it being large as there isn't extra material at the shoulders. All of the extra length is at the bottom of the bag, which doesn't really matter for sleeping. If I could change just one thing about this sleeping bag I would add the option to make the shoulder snaps adjustable by adding a second set of snaps. I wouldn't mind if the shoulders were just a little bit more snug. The zip starts at the top of the bag (near the baby's head) so ideally they wouldn't be able to unzip themselves, though I did find my son with his legs up in the air working at the zipper one day. I don't think there's any way to prevent this though, and he was wide awake when he was doing this. Before putting the sleeping bag on my son I was a little concerned that the bag would impede his movements in bed. He loves to roll around and makes full use of his crib space. I thought the sleeping bag would put an end to that and would upset him but this is not the case at all. He is able to move around as much as he did before with absolutely no issues. We really love this bag and cannot recommend it more!

2nd kid, different than my first.... almost 8 months old and had gerd, was sleeping in an angled rock n play for some time but as she's grown and started moving/pulling up, that's no longer safe... getting her to sleep flat in a crib has been a trying experience. I've tried two cribs, futon on the floor, a lot of coffee (for me). I thought about getting a magic merlin sleep suit but she's older and weighs 19# and it didn't fit, so on a whim I bought this instead. The only time she will sleep through the night right now is in this sleep suit. I think it's the weight of the fabric and also the snug feeling she was used to in the bassinet. She seemed to have felt to wide open in the crib. I think these are expensive, but I wouldn't get sleep right now if I didn't have it. It was a good purchase and the quality does seem good. It's warm, my room is usually 65 degrees so I do a long sleeve shirt underneath for keeping her arms warm and then just put a diaper on her. It's washed well. I was concerned the top would ride over her head because she's a quick mover but it does not do so which makes me feel that it's safe. She's 8 months almost, 19#, a little chunky and I did the medium size. A lot of times her clothing size is 12-18mo right now but it seems to fit with room to spare. My first child was very different you couldn't pay to get her in a sleep sack. So it's hard to say who will love or hate it, but it's high quality and has worked well for me. But expensive and I'm considering a second one to rotate.
