    • A great first learning piano
I'm waffling between 4 and 5 stars here because I really like this piano, but there's just a few small things that bug me. Pros: * It's a "realistic" keyboard that actually lets them play real music and learn some basics about piano. * Includes both white and black keys * Allows multiple notes simultaneously * Holding a key down will draw out the sound (although it does fade quicker than a real piano) * It has a full 2 octaves so you can play notes below middle-C Cons: * It's very short. Either your child will have to sit flat on the floor to use this or you'll have to elevate it. * The brief sustain on the notes after you let go is nice, but cuts off abruptly maybe 1/4 second too early. Not a big deal, but I wish they had let it fade a tiny bit longer so it wasn't so noticeable. * No volume control. I think the default volume is reasonable, but it would be nice if there were a slider, or at least a low- and high-option. * The "song book" is pretty small and basic. It displays the color and letter for each note rather than teaching kids to read music, although it does show each note in its position on the musical staff, which is a nice compromise. However, it would have been nice if they could've shown some indications for note timing or an occasional basic chord as well. If a child actually wants to learn to play piano, this song book isn't going to get them very far. All in all, this is a very nice bridge between a piano toy and a real keyboard. If a child is truly interested in learning to play the piano, this probably won't last them very long just due to its size, but it gives a much more realistic piano experience than most toy pianos and seems like a worthwhile small investment before determining if you want to commit to a larger (and more expensive) musical journey. ... show more

    • Electric piano toy
This is an easy 5 star review for what it is--BUT make sure you know what you're buying! The piano itself is plastic and battery powered, but feels well made, and the sides and back are really high quality wood. It does have a song playback feature, so if you're the kind of parent that doesn't like toys that play sounds on a loop this might not be the toy for you. It would be great if there was a switch for turning off just the song playback to make it "just" an instrument. In fact I initially thought this might be a non-electric piano toy, but the electric keyboard sounds nice for what it is. The keys themselves are not pressure sensitive, so each note has constant volume and you can't strike them harder or softer. It's a small thing, but the playback mode notes do have varying intensity, so you'll never be able to sound quite as good. ... show more

    • Looks so cute in person, kids love it
My kids always like pretend playing my electric keyboard, so this was an instant hit. I was very suprised at the detail and overall good quality. Look so cute and doesn't look too flashy/ kiddy like a lot of cheap pianos do. This is great, love it!

Got this piano for my toddler and he loves it. I really like that there was no assembling required for this wooden piano. It is ready to go right out of the box and the keys are also clearly written.     • Can't turn off music after starting it
Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems that when turning on the song-playing mode, there's no way to shut it off unless you turn the entire keyboard off. I feel like it should be as easy as pushing the button again to turn the music off but instead that changes the song. That just seems like an annoying oversight. Other that that, the keyboard is cute and sturdy, and my kiddo likes it so I guess that's what matters. ... show more

    • Great introduction to the piano
My 4 year old loves this piano wooden toy. What a great toy to introduce her to the piano. I've always wondered if she has any interest in playing the piano and she immediately gravitates to it as soon as I opened the box. She started playing all the songs from the songbook and it feels great to see her feeling so accomplished after she completes each song. The keys are color coded and have letters to easily play the miniature toy piano. Overall, it is a great toy to introduce young kids to the piano/musical instrument. ... show more

    • Much fun and adorable toy
This piano is probably going to annoy my niece's parents but I don't care. It plays songs when you push the button and stops after about 30 seconds or so. The toy itself is plastic/wood, solid and probably can handle the strength of a little one trying to hit the keys.
