Azzaro Forever Wanted Absolu is an expensive luxury fragrance for men. There are 2 aspects of the cologne that I am judging based on its price: The first is the look and shelf appeal, the second is the fragrance itself. Which scents you or whoever you're wearing this for will like is always going to be subjective, but I think high end fragrances should hit a couple of areas. First let me talk about the packaging. This scent comes in a nice little box, and the actual atomizer is an interesting cylindrical shape with a gold top and accents. I think this is an area where I would consider removing some stars, but at most only half a star, and due to the fragrance itself I am actually not going to remove any stars. I do want to point out that the gold top is metal but feels a little thin and not-high quality, which may also be a result of the tacky gold paint. The amber/caramel section where you can see the cologne's liquid is very nice and primes you for the actual amber & vanilla notes in the scent itself. I don't think you'd be embarrassed to have this on your shelf but I do wish it was a little bit more high quality given the cost. A comparable luxury scent like Blue de Chanel has a much thicker metallic top. Now for the actual important part though, the fragrance! This is a MATURE MEN'S COLOGNE. I think you will want to wear this if you're a professional, or an older man. It is a great scent in that regards. It is really strong and long lasting, currently I am on hour 24 of having applied this and I still smell it on my nose without needing to sniff a particular spot. I think there is A LOT of value in this for the price. One spray on your wrist + rubbed to your neck would do you good here. If you're like me and go 1 wrist, 1 chest/neck you're gonna be smelling this forever. I think the stand out parts of the fragrance are the vanilla/amber notes. The advertisement mentions whiskey/incense and I think those background notes really lend this the "mature" vibe I was speaking about. There is just something older, more mature, and wise about the scent. This is not for teens or young 20-somethings at the club. Great scent for a date at a nice, quiet restaurant. Overall I was very impressed by the scent and its power relative to some of the other cologne's I wear. Really fantastic.

This fragrance leans confidently into that warm, bold, slightly mysterious territory. It has a very manly smell and presentation. I think Ron Swanson would approve it. The styling is genius. The colors are warm and bronzey, not a brassy gold. The bottle looks like a blend of a razor and a revolver and a bottle of cognac, which perfectly suits their marketing and emphasizes the masculinity of the scent. It’s pretty easy to use. You need to use a little force to remove the cap, but the spray functions smoothly. The bottle is a good size, and the smoky bottom half of the bottle is perfectly balanced by the size of the metallic upper half. Right away, the scent opens with a rich, slightly smoky character from the incense, balanced by a smooth subtle sweetness. The whisky accord adds a warm, almost boozy depth without smelling literal or sharp. It blends more like a cozy, amber-like richness than an actual drink, which makes it wearable rather than overwhelming. It may be my favorite of any cologne I’ve ever ever smelled. As it settles, the vanilla comes through and softens everything. It doesn’t turn overly sweet, but it adds a creamy warmth that rounds out the sharper edges of the incense. The overall effect is smooth, warm, and a little indulgent. Performance is strong. It lasts well through the day (and especially into the evening), and it has a noticeable presence without being overpowering if applied with a light hand. It’s the kind of fragrance where one or two sprays is usually enough. This isn’t a light, fresh, daytime scent. It’s deeper and more suited to cooler weather, evenings, or occasions where you want something with a bit more personality. It feels more dressed up than casual. This is a well-blended, long-lasting fragrance with a warm, slightly smoky depth. The design is exquisite, and the bottle feels substantial in the hand. I feel that this cologne has earned its luxury pricing, so I think it’s a good value.

My son is obsessed with luxury fragrances and I recently had the opportunity to order Azzaro’s Forever Wanted Absolu. This is a large, 3.1 ounce bottle that is luxe in style and design. It features a misting spray top and lid in gold and the mist comes out very fine, making it easy to target your application spots. The bottle gives a nod to the whiskey barrel to the ambery whisky accord notes - which I can distinguish but doesn’t leave a strong, boozy scent. It has sweet notes of vanilla and a heavy incense fragrance that my son was so in love with from the first time he wore it. This scent is really strong - almost too strong and slightly harsh upon initial application, however, with a few moments of warming against the skin, it calms into an incredible fragrance that feels right for cooler seasons and gives winter vibes. I think it’s perfect for any setting, working for a night on the town, and even just lazing around the house. I enjoy it when my son walks by and I can catch a whiff. He has had no adverse reactions, and neither have I, while I can sometimes be sensitive to fragrances. The longevity is great and the scent lasts all day. On his clothes, I can still smell it lightly days later when doing laundry. This bottle is absolutely giftable, the fragrance is very high quality and luxury fragrances come with luxury pricing. The pricing aligns with what I would expect from a high end brand, and based on just how nice this fragrance is, I think there’s a great value. The bottle will last a long time, as a little goes a long way.
