I bought these to hog out 16ga 304l stainless steel tubing. Shockingly, they worked great! Moved some serious metal. I did have to be cautious with the speed and feed of course.

    • The length is the problem
While the bits themselves were fine and do what they are intended to. The length of the shank was my main reason for buying them. However, when using them for harsh to reach situations the shanks flexed and wobbled with any kind of revolutions. Made them basically unusable for the purpose.     • For Dremel to cut & shape aluminium . Must have!!!
For Dremel to cut & shape aluminium or anything softer. 4/5 stars for durability only because after 4-5hrs on aluminum they start to where some but still work after 10hrs with one bit. I used them to port inlet & exit ports VW heads, motorcycle heads and because the 1/8" shaft is a little over 3" long they reach inside very well. I did a $500 port job for under $20 and I keep the bits. Only needed 2 or 3 bits. Very good investment. Will work great on wood, plastic I'm sure. I wish I had these 20 years ago. For metal work, mechanics, art work, anything to reach tight spots to grind a very detailed cut. Love these things! ... show more

Overall I guess the product is OK but the length if you’re using them and a Dremel they spin and wobble a lot. I could get where I needed to but it was so wobbly it wasn’t really doing what I purchased it for.

    • Sharp bits!, shanks don't bend but must be VERY straight in the chuck - best for slower speeds
I wanted bits with a longer shank, and these seemed to be a good price, so I ordered them. They're exactly as described. The thing users need to be cautious about is that increased length exaggerates even a slight wobble, so if the shaft is even *slightly* off-center in the chuck, the end will wobble like crazy. ALSO, slower speeds seem to be better; I tried this in my Rotary Tool and I found it far too difficult to control, especially for my detailed work. So I'm using it in a small rechargeable variable-speed, and that's been working out better. The bit is sharp enough that it cuts the hardwood well, and the small drill, with its keyless chuck, is perfect for using the bit to hollow-out hardwood items and cut deep recesses. ... show more
