Features

  • Effortless Metal Engraving: Unlock the potential of your desktop with the 4040 CNC Router. Easily machine 2mm aluminum and other materials with precision
  • Unique Work Area Design: "Aluminum Alloy Base + MDF Spoil Board" dual-layer structure prevents direct contact between the workpiece and the worktable, effectively reducing platform wear
  • Refined Precision: Witness remarkable precision as fine as 0.005 mm. This is powered by our advanced dual linear guide and ball screw system on every axis, delivering superior accuracy, rigidity, and load capacity for metalworking
  • Rapid and Precise Closed-Loop Motors: The X, Y, and Z axes are equipped with Nema23-76 closed-loop stepper motors, delivering 2.2 Nm of torque and rapid travel speeds of up to 3500 mm/min. Their exceptional stall prevention capability ensures highly efficient and accurate performance
  • Upgraded 65mm Trimming Router: Features a specifically upgraded 710W trimming router and an ER11-6mm collet, with 6 speed settings (6000-30000 RPM). It can easily engrave and cut metals like aluminum
  • Assembly Time Reduced to 10 Minutes: The main components are designed as pre-assembled modules with a clear cable management. Coupled with detailed assembly and wiring video guides, the installation process is significantly streamlined, effectively reducing complexity
  • Expansion Functions: Based on the open-source FluidNC v3.8.4, it features a replaceable dual-core 32-bit driver chip with Wi-Fi support. It offers a wide range of expansion capabilities, including laser output interface, VFD spindle control interface, and support for water-cooled spindles
  • Power Supply Notice: Our machine is factory-set to 110V. If using 220V mains, first switch the Power Switch (see control box diagram on main product image) to 220V before powering onthis protects the control box. The included router spindle is 110V only. For safety, we strongly recommend using a step-down transformer to convert your 220V mains power to 110V before connecting either the control box or the spindle
  • Superior Configuration: I4040 is a comprehensive upgrade from the I3030, featuring enhanced motor performance and an expanded working travel, resulting in an overall configuration that reaches leading-tier standards in the market
  • Friendly Reminder: With its professional-grade design and enhanced performance, this model is well-suited for advanced beginners or users seeking higher precision and build quality

  • Amazing machine Amazing machine
Style: 4040-1
For the price, this is definitely the best machine you can get. No other machines at this price point really come with ball screws AND linear rails AND closed loop steppers. I did get it on a $200 discount, but even at full price, it still outperforms most machines in its class. It has great rigidity, and it handled deep cuts really well. I can barely move the router at all if even if i put all my effort in it. It also connected without any issues to candle running on my laptop. Everything worked perfectly out of the box, just make sure you align all the T-slot nuts in the base for the gantry because that's a mistake i made. One thing is that it doesn't come with any instructions in the box, but their video instructions on their site are sufficient. In the video i'm cutting UHMW at 3mm DOC at 1300mm/min with a 1/8in O flute. Haven't used their support yet so I can't really speak on that. Overall: Pros: - has linear rails, ball screws, and closed loop nema 23s - comes with MDF spoilboard - very rigid - no issues connecting to candle - comes with basically everything you need to get started - comes with a router with ER11 collet Cons: - no physical instructions (not really a big deal) - router came with a small amount of rust in the taper (easily cleaned out, not enough to affect runout that much) - need to be careful screwing in the drag chain screws because the threads strip out kinda easily - no way to clear errors on the offline controller (if your connected to candle, no issue) ... show more

  • Far superior to anything else in this price point.
Style: 4040-1
The exterior packaging took a beating, the interior packaging saved it. Assembly is easy. Build is rigid and relatively heavy for its size. I bought a real H2O spindle and VFD for it, I am not into the limitations of modified routers that everyone is using these days, which is to say - I wish Axiscreat offered this option or add on... so far they do not. I have contacted their customer support... they are very good at responding. I am replacing the MDF with rugged T slot because I am creating a flood pan for working metals. Yes, I am putting more money into it, but the closed loop steppers and the drive system are above and beyond what others offer at this price point. There are going to be challenges connecting the VFD to the controller as this information is not well detailed. But it is doable so that the spindle speed is software controlled which is essential for any serious milling. With all of the upgrades I am making... and the base price, I am way ahead compared to if I could find a comparable machine to match... the is a big IF, because, no, there is no such other machine. ... show more

  • An amazing CNC machine full of potential that is totally lacking in documentation.
Wow this CNC is going to be a hard one to review. In a nutshell, it's a great value CNC that works exactly as advertised for its main features. It has quality hardware with a very sturdy frame, the motors and spindle are powerful (but very noisy at higher RPMs) and all work as expected with a good speed and range of motion, and the controller it comes with is a standard GRBL controller that worked perfectly with both the provided Candle software and with Easel, which had no issues communicating with the machine. The provided clamps are annoying to use and take too long to set up and move. It came with a 6mm standard upcut bit and a 6mm 30 degree V bit. The core value here is extremely solid, so it pains me that such a great machine suffers from a total lack of information on how to set up, maintain, or use it. The main issues come from the assembly and documentation, or lack of it. The machine comes with no information in the box. There's no manual, no QR code, nothing to indicate that the basic assembly information is on the Axiscreat website (which feels like it's still under construction). The instruction videos do mostly cover the assembly, and you can probably figure most of it out, though attaching the vertical axis with the provided screws proved challenging at first as one of the "nuts" in the rail that holds it in place had slipped out of place. I sure hope you have some CNC experience because this is not a beginner friendly machine at all. There's no instructions on how to do basic functions on the provided controller, though you can figure it out slowly, and there's no official manual for the 4040 listed (though there is one for the 3030 and the basic info is the same). There is also no documentation on the original factory default GRBL variables, so good luck figuring that out if you factory reset the controller, as it doesn't reset to what it came with out of the box. Honestly, I'd stick with a direct PC connection for most people, as the PC side is much more straight forward as it uses standard software. I'd recommend Easel for anyone just getting started, as it softens the rough edges of this machine a bit. Hope this helps anyone else with this machine. Overall it's quite a decent machine that's great for larger hobby projects. ... show more

  • Impressive Pro Level Router
Wow! This is a dream come true for a woodworker, metalworker, or leatherworker's workshop. This sits on your own surface/workbench/table. It can operate manually, use the offline controller with small screen, or with your laptop for intricate designs and patterns. It is fairly simple to put together and is a well built, stout piece of equipment. The designers have elevated the quality of construction and function that surpasses our previous router. Use in laser, spindle, or trimmer modes. This is a serious piece of equipment for a hobbyist through professional who want to create products of detail and precision. Read the specs to confirm this will work for your application. Add some extra router bits, laser extension, and a dust collector, and you're golden! ... show more
