That’s especially true now that Axial has updated the RTR to include high-quality Spektrum electronics. The SCX24 Jeep Gladiator itself is upgraded with plush, oil-filled shocks for a suspension that smoothly absorbs bumps and remains stable over the roughest terrain. And the SCX24 Jeep Gladiator still has all the performance advantages of the proven Axial SCX24 platform. Full-time 4WD and a 3-link front/4-link rear suspension let you muscle over big challenges. Worm gears on the axles increase the ground clearance. Realistic steel frame rails on the C-channel chassis stand up to hard knocks. The SCX24 Jeep Gladiator performs like a winner and looks like one, too. The realistic scale body, available in three fresh color options, rides on licensed KMC Machete wheels and Nitto Trail Grappler tires. Two LEDs in the front bumper light up the trail for night-time crawling. For quick battery access, just remove one clip to tilt back the body. Inside the box, in addition to the assembled and finished rig, you’ll find a Spektrum 2.4GHz transmitter, 350mAh LiPo battery, and handy USB charger. Four AA batteries are even included for the transmitter. Take your own overland adventure, RC-style, with the Axial SCX24 Jeep JT Gladiator — a rig you know is ready for anything! SPEKTRUM SLT2 2.4GHz RADIO SYSTEM In The Box Needed to Complete The Spektrum SLT2 2-channel radio system offers high-end features such as throttle/steering travel adjust and throttle limiting. The ready-to-run package is so complete, even AA transmitter batteries are included. Metal worm gears in the front and rear differentials provide durability, higher ground clearance, and strong drag brakes. Like the 1/10 scale SCX10 platform, the SCX24 chassis features rugged and sturdy steel C-channel frame rails with bracing to keep everything intact and aligned. The front and rear axles consist of a two piece, molded composite solid axle design. For optimal handling, the SCX24 suspension features a 3-link front and 4-link rear setup. The 4-link design of the rear suspension geometry is optimized to reduce axle steer and torque twist. The addition of oil-filled shocks allows the suspension to articulate smoothly over rough terrain. You can adjust the preload with 1mm, 2mm, and 4mm spacers to fine-tune your rig for your handling needs. Steel front and rear axles, front stub axles, and dogbones provide the strength and durability needed to keep going during tough climbs and over rough trails. The front and rear drive shafts are splined and sleeved to allow for maximum suspension travel while keeping the power to the wheels. The included Dynamite 88T 180-size brushed electric motor provides the right amount of torque for making steep climbs. It's mated to a steel motor mount to keep flex to a minimum and help protect the gears. Just because the SCX24 is small doesn't mean its features follow suit. There are no bushings here. The drivetrain spins freely on sealed cartridge bearings throughout the entire vehicle.

I honestly didn’t expect this much capability out of such a small rig. The SCX24 Jeep Gladiator is hands-down one of the most fun RCs I’ve owned. Right out of the box, it’s solid — the detail on the Gladiator body is awesome, and it feels rugged despite its size. The longer wheelbase compared to other SCX24s gives it extra stability on climbs and side hills, which really helps when you’re crawling over rocks or trail obstacles. Battery life is surprisingly good — I get about 30–40 minutes of crawling per charge depending on terrain. The included transmitter is comfortable and responsive, and the proportional throttle makes precise crawling easy even for beginners. I’ve added a few small upgrades (brass wheel weights and better tires), but honestly, it performs great stock too. If you’re looking for a high-quality mini crawler that you can run indoors or outdoors, this little Jeep Gladiator is perfect. Durable, capable, and just a blast to drive. As someone who's already deep into the SCX24 platform, I can't help but get a little giddy every time a new model comes out—especially when I find one on sale. The SCX24 has always been an amazing entry point into the world of RC crawling, and the Axial SCX24 Gladiator is a perfect example of why. This is my second SCX24, and it's easily my favorite of the bunch. What makes the Gladiator so great is its longer wheelbase and solid performance right out of the box. While the other SCX24 models are fantastic, the Gladiator's extended chassis gives it a more stable and capable feel on the rocks and trails. It's less prone to flipping backward on steep inclines, and the longer body, a fantastic scale replica of the real Jeep, looks incredible as it flexes over obstacles. Axial has really dialed in the electronics on the newer SCX24 models, and the Gladiator is no exception. The low-speed control is excellent, allowing you to make precise, slow movements to navigate technical terrain. You can truly feel the difference, and it makes the crawling experience so much more enjoyable. The SCX24 platform is already known for its huge aftermarket support, and the Gladiator is no different. From brass weights to better servos and motors, there are endless ways to customize and upgrade it. But honestly, even in its stock form, this truck is highly recommended. If you're looking for your first micro crawler or adding to your collection, and you see the Gladiator on sale, do yourself a favor and pick one up. You won't regret it. ... show more

These are so much fun right out of the box! They are a quality build and even without any upgrades can do some fun things in the yard. My daughter loves hers and plays with it constantly. She did burn the motor out by holding it down and engaging the motor but that is not the fault of the product. She and her brothers bond when they take them out together. It is a smaller size that you would expect but highly capable. The battery lasts for at least an hour of play and charges quickly. ... show more

This thing is much smaller and I thought it would be in very light. However with all that said it's still does very well at climbing and crawling through rocks and debris. Very entertaining vehicle especially if used inside but also good for outside in your gardens or over a small rocks. It actually handled much bigger rocks than I thought it was going to be able to. Lot of fun trying to see where you can take it and how to get through things without falling over. Truck is mostly plastic and does have a lot of a toy feel to it, and does have metal rails comes with a small two as battery and even though the motor is very tiny, this thing has a lot of power to move itself and quite a bit of torque. Battery life is very good also . I used it quite a few times and it ran it for and felt like forever. Battery is not going dead on me yet. They included charger is just a basic USB charger but for that small of a battery it works fine. Think it only took a few hours to charge ... show more

3 Stars, I thought it was cool, pretty powerful never has an RC before but I was impressed with how well it could crawl, my kids loved this thing. It seems flimsy but it seemed pretty durable for inside the house and in the yard "Sunny days, did not drive through water or mud" BUT! After 1 month on the dot the truck or controller stopped working. Just dead, went to charge it and it does not move, than the steering stopped working also. So I'm returning it. Unfortunately this RC Truck had faulty batteries. It would stop working unexpectedly. When we went to return the truck and replace it with a new one, the item had increased in price $30. The batteries were very tricky to charge as well - they need to be removed from the truck, which is hard even for little hands. Unfortunately we do not recommend this brand - wish we could, this was one of 3 Christmas gifts we gave our 2 sons (it was the big, exciting one - needless to say, it was a big disappointment). ... show more
