  • Truly ready to run, Axial did their best here!
This car will be remembered as “the best car Axial ever made!” Axial put a lot of good parts into this car, runs really well right out of the box (no complaints). I’ve made minor shock adjustments and put better tires on it and that’s it. There aren’t any glaring problems with performance and reliability (except the dig servo). My friends also feel the same way with their gladiators. The last 20years, every car I’ve bought I’d immediately start changing parts and throwing in upgrades because of cheap parts manufacturers will use. This car, in many ways is the first exception… Upgrades will come but only as things wear out/maintenance but for now I can enjoy it as is with out making it a money pit (like every other car I own) This is the best RTR 1/10 ROCK CRAWLER that axial has ever made. ... show more

  • Great RC Truck
Color: Grey
The media could not be loaded. Headline: Fantastic Crawler for Beginners – Just Mind the Battery Specs! The Axial Gladiator is an impressive machine with top-tier build quality. The long wheelbase makes it incredibly stable, which I think makes it one of the best choices for someone just starting out in the hobby. Out of the box, the suspension is very "flexy" and the tires provide great grip on various terrains. A quick heads-up on the electronics: This model does not include a battery or charger. It is designed to work perfectly with the Spektrum Smart ecosystem. If you use Spektrum Smart batteries and chargers, you can see your real-time battery levels directly on the transmitter. While you can use third-party LiPo batteries, you will lose that telemetry feature on the remote. Overall, a great, high-quality build! ... show more

  • Monster crawler otb!
Love this truck. I use it for crawling and it's a beast with just weighted rims ,good tires,& inserts. The dig function is great for sharp turns on the course.

  • BEST 10.III AVAILABLE
Aside from the pro KIT this is the best 10.iii rig out there. If it comes between the basecamp or gladiator get this gladiator!! I love mine. Wish i got this sooner and not wasted time with other RTRs. Absolutely fun. Theres more detail here with the body and chassis so the price is good for scale and build. Body clip design could be better. ... show more

  • Amazing quality trucks. Highly recommend. Mine is modded though
Color: Grey
Axial has always been one of my favorite products. Instead of buying the correct battery I bought a 5000mAh lipo spektrum battery that axials website had recommended. Turned out that the battery has an ic5 connector and the esc on this truck is an ic3. So if you do this plan ahead and get an ic5 to ic3 adapter. I’m currently waiting for a complete esc, receiver, transmitter, and motor for my truck as an upgrade just because I wanted to get the best truck for my money. Haven’t driven it yet but here’s where the truck is as of now ... show more

  • What you need to know before you buy
Color: Grey
As someone that has been out of the hobby for several years, I figured jumping into a Ready to Run (RTR) setup would be the best way to go. This was my second RTR as I have wanted to try out the different platforms and see what’s out there. The first RTR I picked up was the REDCAT Ascent Fusion on sale at a local shop for $399.00. I watched close to 20 videos, read the manual, read some blogs. Everything seemed good and that it would be even more capable than the REDCAT. I was unfortunately extremely disappointed. Here are the things to know: 1. The battery connection for this is proprietary. You will have to make sure you get the spektrum smart battery if you don’t want to modify the power connector. (Not a big deal but if you are starting out understand this) 2. The longer wheel base is a double edge sword. Some things it helps but for most things, just as in real actual crawlers, shorter bodies and wheel bases are more capable. 3. This will roll on flat surfaces if you are full throttle and turn. 4. Power distribution to the wheels was not even on mine. 5. The frame is a still ALMOST c channel. It does not feel sturdy like the the REDCAT or even the composite frames I built back in the day. 6. The bumpers get caught on EVERYTHING on approach, and when you finally get up on a medium difficulty obstacle for 1/10 the back bumper will grab the dirt, or anything on the ground and acts like a spoon because it is cheap Halle and open plastic. 7. The clip system is not great, cheap plastic tabs and can be a pain to get in and out. 8. Constant rubbing. Turning to lock would result in body binding to the point I thought it was going to break and that was just on carpet. 9. Uneven turning radius. The way it is designed a bracket is placed where the servo will hit it and cannot go full lock in one direction vs the other. Left is less than right. 10. Turning in general. Because the wheel base is so long and the rear is locked it cannot turn without dragging the rear end a little. Likely increased wear to tires. 11. Getting the body back on after you turn it on is horrendous! A large majority of of the body is still Lexan. 12. The electronics and wire management looks like a 3 year old put it together. Not great at all. 13. The dog function felt more like a gimmick than actually functional. It kind of helped but it wasn’t significant enough to make it a must have in the future for me. 14. The rod ends are plastic. 15. The body feels and looks like something you get on an $40 to $100 but is lexan and not a harder material. 16. Extremely top heavy and will roll a lot. 17. If you want to upgrade the motor or go brushless the 2 in 1 system cannot be used. You will need to to get a new radio and ESC to be able to do so. 18. Because this is a 353mm 1/10 there is almost zero out there for body changes. 19. This is designed to try and suck money out of you more than it is for fun. Upgrades will absolutely be a must. Bottom Line: Feels cheap, $250 quality MAYBE. It is not very capable out of the box, and to get it, feels clunky, doesn’t look that great in person. I would not recommend this product for the price. I think most of people leaving reviews are probably big jeep guys or own a jeep. This is a carpet crawler more than a true rock crawler. After 6 hours and tinkering adjust trying to make it feel right I returned it. If you want something that looks like the jeep you have or want find a $50 one and save your money or build one from scratch. I Recommend looking into something different. ... show more
