This thing works great (tells me if fuse is "hot" or not), and does it well. You ground the lead, touch the fuse with the probe end (that'll be on the handle looking thing), and look at the light. If the light is shiny, the fuse is hot (in a live circuit). My ex-mechanic son was even impressed. This is made for car fuses, I think. I wouldn't use it on a fuse in a hydroelectric facility.
