I have had this bed for a full year now. Truth be told, I slept on an air mattress for years because I am a rambling man and used to move quite often. I have parked myself in a house for the foreseeable future so I decided it was time. I researched organic safe beds and feel I did my due diligence on finding the right fit. Not sure if this is 100% organic, but I believe it is. The top of the bed is latex and then coils below for support. This makes it a hybrid. It is the most comfortable bed I have had and it had helped tremendously in my ability to stay asleep. It's helped my lower back and really entire body. I still get a sense of relief every time I get into bed. I would say it's medium to firm, which is ideal. I'm 5'9 and 165 lbs and the queen size is perfect for me. No doubt could support someone bigger than me. If you're in the market, I would do your research. Watch videos and check reviews on every mattress you're considering, but certainly put this one on your list. I think it's a fantastic choice. ... show more

So far so good! Literally arrived within 24 hours after I purchased on Amazon..... Inflated out the box easily. It's considered a lower end price point luxury mattress. I prefer a firm mattress, and this is definitely firm. If you wanted a mattress that was soft and not firm, I would go for the pillow top option on this mattress... I'm very impressed by the way the bed is so well made that the sides don't " Slump" when you sit on the edge/ it's very well made. I went to MATTRESS FIRM the day before purchase and the quality of this mattress compared to any of the beds I tried there is superior... I also felt like I was dealing with a " car salesman" mentality there so knowing I can purchase this brand mattress Awara for the rest of my life without jumping through hoops at a mattress store is awesome! ... show more

I was excited to receive this mattress as I liked the all natural and organic materials. But as soon as I unwrapped it, it felt very cheaply made. It feels like there are about 16 springs in it and made of aluminum foil. As soon as you kneel on it or push down on it, it flattens. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of latex, maybe an inch or so. Feels like a nightmare for my lower back. Sending it back is going to be an extremely hard because I have to find a box to put it in and don’t have a way to vacuum seal it. The mattress itself was comfortable, but the delivery was a day late which caused some stress as it was being delivered to our kids home where we were about to stay for a week. The communication on the delay was not great either as at least one email from Amazon? said the delivery would be delayed for a week, which was the entire length of our stay there! In the end, it was one day late and it all worked out. But that was stress I didn't need... ... show more

Very easy to open out of package, minimal natural rubber smell, almost un-noticeable (dissipates very quickly). My 5 year old really likes the feel of the bed and has slept well on it for over a month. Don’t forget you cannot flip this mattress over, due to the design with the coils on the bottom. Do yourself a favor for kids and pick up an organic pee pad cover! Our traditional older twin sheets were hard to fit - tight on the mattress, but we can make them work. We haven’t tried “deep pocket” sheets yet. Love the way this company makes this product with no off-gassing!!! ... show more
