My dogs aren’t exactly pleased with the taste but they got over it. My Cocker has horrible allergies and skin issues. She would scratch non stop. Someone would even lightly touch her and she did the thumper leg scratch thing. It was bad! I did some research and it lead me here to the trout version. They’ve been eating it for almost three months now and her skin and itches have COMPLETELY cleared up. Great dog food! Used to be able to purchase it at any pet food store but they stop carrying it. Great for dogs with skin problems like mine. Removes my dog's flakes after a couple of serving & easily digestible for my other dog.

I like avoderm. I think it has a good ingredients list and often isn't as expensive as some foods. I got my dog the trout. She didn't want to eat it when I was first switching her, but she eats it fine now. It doesn't aggravate her food allergies like a lot of foods do, which is why I feed her seafood foods. The only complaint I have is that she is pooping more often, and the poops are massive. They are fairly firm and healthy, but I feel like my dog is putting out horse poops. I think this food has a high fiber content. I will continue feeding it for now, because I can get a great deal on it here on Amazon. ... show more

My dog has food allergies that were causing small bumps all over her skin as well as some upset stomach. After one bag of this her skin started clearing and her digestion was normalized. By the second bag all the bumps were gone. So far she loves both the duck and trout.

We have a Rat Terrier that we adopted almost a year ago who has terrible allergies and it's been quite a process finding dog food that doesn't contain the many foods he's allergic to. This is the ONLY one that we've found and fortunately it's available through Amazon, since it isn't sold anywhere in our area. He absolutely loves this food (thank goodness) and is allergy symptom free for the very first time. I just saw on Amazon that I have ordered 75 bags of this food for my dog over the years! The great thing about it is that it completely cured his skin rashes - allergic reactions to other foods. Does he LOVE it? No. But he doesn’t hate it and it keeps him from itching so I’m a satisfied customer.
