It's an amazing little kit for propagating and growing avacodo seeds. It is perfect for little hands (big ones too) to from start to finish have their own avacodo tree. Having a lot of plants, this is an amazing way to include little ones in their own project. The amazement and excitement on their faces when they see that root appear from their floating seed is indescribable. Presently, we just have a root...but as the growing process continues this container turns into the plants home...from floating seed to planted tree. .I am certainly happy with this kit and the joy, responsibility, and education it has shared with my little plant person.

This product works as expected. The only thing I'd point out is that it's configuration was a bit different than the picture shows. It's larger than I expected and contained an extra part, but not a tray for under the water pot, as shown. Apparently the extra part is to allow you to convert it to a self watering grow pot when you finally move the young tree into live in soil. Perhaps a plus for some, but not for me as I plan to move the young tree into a regular flower pot when ready.

My neighbor has one. And she said it was easy to use and showed her pit that was growing. She sent me the info, and now I have my own. It was easy instructions, easy to follow. I’m already using it, and look forward to seeing it grow. I like the clear plastic base so it’s easy to see the water level, and possible roots. I’m planning on gifting one for Christmas.

The cup and toothpick starters work just the same but you do get a tub you can use as a pot - the clear plastic gets algae and once the roots take you can’t keep it as is - it won’t stay long term without soil

We've tried all the YouTube suggestions on getting the seed to sprout, but this definitely worked WAY better. Using it again to get another plant growing.

There's a white basket/strainer included with zero instructions. None of the pictures of the plants in progress have this. There's no clear base for the bottom. There is a shoelace included with no instructions. This would be easy to use if the instructions matched what is actually in the box, but tbh don't. This is an obnoxious waste of time. Also there's no avocado pit included. You need to buy an avocado and dig it out and clean it yourself. Not ready to use out of the box unless you already have avocados at home.

Living in the northeast, after fall and the coming of winter I've always tried to bring some green inside to enjoy. Avocados are a family fave and the pits are washed and saved. Three toooothpicks and some water and can excite children more than one could ever have imagined. Yet, the falling temperatures requiring us to take them from the windowsill. That and the lack of sunlight prevents the avacado from rooting. This year, we started early and wanted to keep them alive through the winter. Not wanting to keep the toothpicks in, I saw the AvoSeedo Set on Amazon and figured I'd give it a try. I can't tell you how happy it makes us to see this plant grow and grow. Hopefully it will be ready for soil in time for spring at which time we'll replant them (yes, tooth picked ones rooted and grew - but not as well). I'll buy more after winter for us and as gifts. I've never had a green thumb, but AvoSeedo has given me new hope.
