After being natural for over ten years, my hair became very difficult to manage (multiple textures, porosities, throughout) and I installed microlocs. I didn't like the maintenance involved in that, so I wound up taking them out and using a texture softener. The texture softener did nothing and I was afraid of using a regular relaxer because I didn't want to overprocess my hair. After trying one relaxer four months ago, I was left feeling unsatisfied because it burned and left my hair underprocessed. Fast forward to using this for the first time yesterday and I am finally happy with my hair! I was able to correct the underprocessed areas and my hair was straightened without being completely bone straight and lifeless. I set a timer and completed the entire process in 15 minutes. I love how it made my hair feel. Initially, I wanted to perm my hair when I purchased it but then changed my mind to texturize since I recently cut my hair (Mohawk) I put it in for a very short time and I LOVE the curls it created. My sister used it years ago and I have been trying to figure out this brand until I got it after my research. I like this product and it’s really a lot so it will last me a very long time. This product (Normal Relaxer) worked very well. My hair was straight and shiny. I made sure I also purchased the AFFIRM Protecto Hair Protector and Gentle Assurance Scalp Protector. I did not get any relaxer burns. I will definitely use this product again. I also use the Kera Care (Maintenance for Affirm products) Oil Sheen and Finishing spray for my body styles. ... show more
