If you do any kind of shipping you will love these labels! I use them to ship my packages on eBay and Etsy and they work perfect for them. Just remember to set your label setting to two per sheet so you do not waste any. Labels have TrueBlock technology which allows you to place them over another label. With TrueBlock it fully covers existing label and you do not have to worry about it showing through and messing up your shipment. This Avery label is thick and not flimsy so it easy to apply. I have never accidentally torn one! Plus, they stick very well to my packages. There is nothing more bothersome than a label that will not stick! I'm very disappointed in these labels now. I have bought them several times in the past and when I needed more, I chose these again over the cheaper options simply because of the quality I was used to. Avery must have changed them because now they are just as cheap as ones that cost less. The paper is thinner, and although I still can not see markings through it, they rip easily when trying to get them off the backing. They also do not stick to the boxes like they used to. Now I am afraid the labels edges will come up or I will have to use tape around them which defeats the purpose of self sticking labels! So disappointed.     • Will not stick to cardboard

I have bought these TWICE over several years to label cardboard boxes for moving and Bankers' Boxes for storage of documents in my office. After pressing firmly to make sure the labels were firmly applied, I would turn to the next box. Sometimes the labels were visibly coming off within a few minutes, and sometimes I would return to the project a day or two later and find some labels had come completely off and were on the floor. So I had to tape them to the boxes. Later, I nopose t his purticed that the ads said "permanent adhesive" and thought perhaps they had fixed the problem, Just used nearly 100 of them with same result. If you buy them for this purpose, buy a role of Scotch heavy duty packaging tape. It holds them on well. (I've used Avery labels for decades and this is my first complaint.) ... show more

I purchased these to print out eBay shipping labels. I use them with my Brother HL-L2340DW Printer using authentic Brother ink (ink will not smudge off if it's authentic) and have not had any issues. I like how I no longer have to tape my shipping labels onto my packages and the adhesives on these seem great. I have stuck these labels onto those plastic bubble mailers, yellow kraft mailers and cardboard boxes with no labels looking like they'll peel off. The label itself feels of excellent quality and is not thin at all. This bulk amount is also great because it will last me a long time. Highly recommended! ... show more

    • ADHESIVE + 'TRUEBLOCK" = DISASTER
Style: 200 labels
Something bad happened to the adhesive property of these labels when Avery changed to this 'Trueblock' product. I use them exclusively on 7X7 CD bubble mailers: On poly-mailers, they barely stick; on paper mailers, FERGEDITABOUDIT, they lift off the paper no matter how much force you apply. I now have to waste an enormous amount of tape to secure the border of these labels to the mailers. What's REALLY not funny; 90% of the 7X7 paper mailers are used, where I have removed the original label with a heat gun, which leaves additional adhesive residue on the paper surface, but even with that present, these labels STILL won't stick! And no, my supply isn't more than 18 months old, as noted by another reviewer here. Bottom line: LOOK AT ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS HERE, Avery won't admit it's a problem. We ship 5 - 30 packages a day. We've used Avery labels for years, and this is the first time we've had a problem. Randomly, about every 3 - 4 labels, the toner didn't fuse ... it rubbed off on our hands. We thought our printer was bad, so we switched to our backup, and it did the same thing. We contacted Avery and they replaced the labels -- all they asked was that we sent them a picture of the smeared labels (I suspect they've been ripped off previously), and they shipped us replacements. ... show more

Ive purchased these labels in the past without any problems however more recently the labels seem to be a thinner, lower quality material. The ink just smears off the label (which obviously is a problem as the package wont get to its a destination). I even got rid of my company’s printer and bought a new one (no small expense) because i thought that was the cause. The labels still smear. At least one out of every two labels printed smear.     • Forget taping down paper, use these labels!

These are super for simplifying shipping and returns. The labels definitely block out the label underneath for returns, and adhere perfectly. They are so worth it instead of taping down paper labels or putting them in plastic sleeves. Our HP printer requires that I specify these as "thick paper" or they won't transport properly, but when set right, they print perfectly every time. You can use both labels by simply noting the paper orientation each time, so you can peel off the first label, then reverse the label in the printer to print the other half.
