(Edited) There wasn't even any residue, the first time. It wasn't a gross goo as it dissolved. I used these every day. A house full of 3 ADHD people, we forget just when something was made. I had to edit. The first time I got these, they worked perfectly. The second purchase, however, doesn't dissolve at all, not even partially. The ink comes off way too easily now. I don't know if I can trust the product. I've had to cover the label with invisible tape so the ink doesn't smear and peel them off when I'm done. Just be aware that you may be getting a crappy normal label where the ink smudges easily, or you may get a useful label that dissolves easily.

These don't dissolve. Several dishwasher cycles and they are still there. The ink is washed off but the label remains. Knowing this, we apply the labels level and centered. After many washes the sticker still looks brand new.

Not dissolvable. Like others have said the package they were in says they’re dissolvable. They are NOT. They do seem to remove easily, but I was looking to reduce landfill waste and these won’t do that :-/

These do not dissolve but when wet the glue does and the labels come right off. No residue left behind.

Love having these for my kitchen at home to many times things get opened and nobody knows if it’s any good, or how long left over have been in the fridge these take away the hassle of having to guess or possibly throwing out stuff that’s still good because you are unsure. I put a label on everything now. They stick super well, easy to take off when your ready only seems to leave residue on metal/stainless steel. I e accidentally put them through the dishwasher and it didn’t hurt anything! I recommend a fine point sharpie as it won’t smudge.

The tags are great, easy to write on and peel off when dry. If you send them through the dishwasher, however, the glue is nearly impossible to remove. This dissolvable feature is why I purchased the labels, and I am disappointed with their performance.
