Awesome! I had previously bought two of the cheaper ones for two different bikes. Both were worthless. They stuck. If I went over a bump they bottomed out. I adjusted them so they didn't do that, but then after hitting a bump, they'd stick at the point to which they had gone down to. If I stood on the pedals, they'd spring up with a slight bang, showing they were stuck. I poured oil inside them but it didn't make any difference. This new Aventon is spectacular, performing exactly the way it should. High quality materials and excellent workmanship. It even comes with two down tube adapters if needed. If you're looking for a comfortable ride, and you can splurge for this Aventon, I'd highly recommend it, even if it meant not eating for a week. (LOL). Nicely packaged, too.

Installed on Yamaha YDX Torq, ebike, which is a hard tail mtb. Wife says it was worth every penny. It transformed her bike. Thay about sums it up. Easy instal with post adapters included for perfect fit.

I've installed this post on one bike, as well as a RedShift ShockStop PRO on another bike. We also have a third bike with a cheaper seat post that was installed by a local bike shop as an "upgrade" to the stock seat post. That last one is basically garbage, don't even bother. But the other two are pretty great. This Aventon post is about a third of the price of the Redshift model, so that's a really good incentive to choose it. Both are relatively easy to install, although the Redshift is a bit more fiddly. The Aventon has a ratcheting system for angling the seat to your liking, it's easier than the Redshift method (using two Allen head screws in combination to lower one end and/or raise the other) but the ratcheting system is limited in its fine-tuning ability since you can't lock it in between detents. The Aventon is also heavier than the Redshift, which really probably doesn't matter unless you're really focused on weight reduction. Both are equally easy to put on the bike, fitting perfectly after adding a small amount of grease to keep it sliding properly. The only other weakness I've found so far is the fact that the seat actually sits a little bit farther back than it would if it were still on a solid post. You can see this in the photos on the product page. This effectively adds about an inch or so to the distance between the seat and handlebars, changing the angle of your body. This may not be a huge difference in more upright bikes like city bikes and cruisers, but for road bikes this might be a concern. The Redshift seat post ensures that the seat stays in the same place relative to the post. Otherwise, the two are pretty similar. The posts both operate really well and do a great job of reducing the jolts of uneven terrain. The Redshift is more configurable with swappable springs/elastomers, but at my current weight (about 200 lbs) I didn't have to change anything in its configuration. Suspension adjustments are made at the bottom of the seat post for both the Redshift and the Aventon models.

This seat post works exceptionally well with both the Aventon Pace 4 and Adventure 3 e-bikes. I used the included 30.9 mm adapter sleeve on both bikes and was able to keep the original seats, so there was no need to purchase replacements. Installing the seat required a bit of force to snap the post onto the seat rails, but once installed, it performed flawlessly. The ride is noticeably smoother than with the factory-installed suspension seat posts, which tended to stick during use. This seat post eliminates that issue entirely and is a much better design overall. In my opinion, it's well worth the upgrade cost. I also recommend purchasing a locking seat post collar to help deter theft.

I installed this on a Murf electric bike and it has transformed the experience of riding the bike. As some of the other reviewers have noted, it's a little finicky to install but when you know the trick, it’s easy. First, fully secure (but loosely tighten) one side of the post to your seat. Disassemble the other side, swing it into place, and reattach the 2 parts that lock the seat onto the seat post. It should come together pretty easily at that point.
