I love this soap. On my third large bottle. It’s perfect for my sensitive itchy skin. My first two bottles had no smell ! However, now it does have a smell! It is not fragrance free as indicated. I live in a semi-arid part of the country, and because of it, I've always had dry skin. It never really bothered me until recently, when years of not having a skin moisturizing regimen finally caught up with me. I started experiencing bouts of uncontrollable itching due to damage to my skin's moisture barrier (according to my dermatologist). Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash, along with a prescription topical steroid, helped soothe the itching and allowed my skin to heal and restore the moisture barrier. I've been using this body wash for a while now as part of my new, regular skincare routine, and I'm happy to report that my dry, itchy skin is now a thing of the past. While this body wash doesn't lather up a lot, I've found that this is normal for quality moisturizing body washes, which don't contain soap. In fact, Aveeno lathers better than other brands I've tried, like Eucerin and CeraVe. Initially, it may feel like the wash doesn't rinse off completely, but that's just the moisturizers doing their job. After drying off, my skin feels silky smooth and soft to the touch without any heaviness or tacky residue. It provides a perfect balance of cleanliness and hydration. This is my favorite soap because it doesn’t dry out my skin or cause any breakouts. I have suffered with something called millia since I was little. It’s basically patches of these tiny little skin-colored bumps that would show up on my arms. They didn’t itch or feel like anything, but I was always embarrassed by them. Since using this high-quality soap they have basically disappeared. This soap is kind of difficult to lather without using a loofah or scrubber, but this is likely due to the ingredients that make this product for sensitive skin. While this “Gentle, Soap-Free Body Wash with Oat to Soothe Dry, Itchy Skin - 33 fl. Oz” by Aveeno, is excellent at relieving dry/itchy skin, but I’m not too big of a fan of its scent and texture. It doesn’t produce much bubbles, so I wind up using more, which isn’t very economical. And while this is supposed to be fragrance-free, but there is actually a mild scent to it, which isn’t very pleasant to me. I prefer their “Nourishing…” or the “Daily Moisturizing” Body Wash with Oats as well, which are lightly scented because it doesn’t only smell great and lathers well, but it works just as well at relieving dry/itchy skin. I'm allergic to fragrance and finding fragrance free products are not very easy in a store, reading labels are horrible. This is a great shower gel and I just tell my bottle. I like that this has a screw lid so it is easy to use out of and close it back without it leaking every where. It doesn't make a lot of suds but it's thick enough and still gives a good soapy texture to be able to shave your legs. However, a 33 oz container was shipped in a box 3 times too big and being banged around in shipping somehow opened and leaked in the box, arriving in a slimy mess.
