I bought these to use on an "old-school", wooden closet rod (which is 1.5" in diameter). This product looked like it would work based on the photo that shows that the hooks are 2.76" wide. But, unfortunately, their outside dimension isn't even 2", and they're not big enough to fit on my closet rod. I might have been able to bend these to make them work but didn't want to try it because, if it didn't work out, I wouldn't be able to return them. So, I found another product that is big enough to fit over my closet rod and went with that option. These hangers seem to be of "average" quality. I also want to mention that the coating on the hooks is the kind that probably won't slide very easily on any kind of closet rod (in case that's important to you). Although they didn't work for me, they might work for you. Good luck! ... show more
