  • Works for a do-it-yourself job...not perfect but it works
Dinged my trunk lip while backing up which cracked the molding and put a dent in the lip. It looked like it could be popped out. For $50, I figured I’d give it a shot myself. I saw some less expensive kits with only the pullers but no glue gun or glue sticks for around $30; I also saw separate glue guns with the glue sticks for $20, so I opted for this one which had both (no real savings either way when I was searching—just convenience). I youtubed a bunch of videos of people using various similar tools, so I got the idea of what to do anyway. This kit came with the bridge puller and the t-bar puller. Tried the bridge first with limited success. The dent popped out slightly. Then I used the t-bar puller which did a better job. Not a perfect job, but it did take out the deep dent. There’s still a slightly inward curves dent that I will try to pull out when I replace the molding that was cracked from the ding. It’s definitey not as noticeable as it was before, and I’m not a body repair professional so I’m happy with the results. I haven’t tried using the hammer for the raised portions yet. Figured I may try them when I replace the molding. Fyi, the instructions aren’t the best but you can find instructions and videos all over the internet. I think I saw somewhere that the yellow glue sticks are for american and european cars and black sticks are for asian cars. Something to do with the paint and thickness (update: actually it’s about the weather/temp...do a search for more info). Also it did take a bit of elbow grease to remove the glue from the car and the attachments. I didn’t have alcohol to use in the spray bottle (sold out everywhere because of covid), but I had a bunch of tiny alcohol wipes and also used a little goo gone at one point for a thick glob that I couldn’t get off. The plastic scraper tool is cheap and gets bent easily but it worked eventually. I’d suggest getting more plastic scraping tools because one might not cut it. ... show more

  • Glue sucks
Size: Dent Repair Tools
The tools themselves seem to be ok for the price but really don’t matter if the glue sucks, I have a very shallow dent with no creases, I tried all three types of glue provided several times each and they don’t hold.

  • This thing works
I should have taken before and after photos. This tool with the slide hammer took out some serious dents from two doors. The plastic bits don't come off as easy as in the video I watched, but if they did it wouldn't work. They do come off with alcohol and I used a plastic ice scraper rather than the somewhat flimsy scraper the kit comes with. I love it, and consider this kit money well spent. ... show more

  • Complete kit for the DIY PDR
Size: Dent Repair Tools
Both of my vehicles have a couple of door dings. My house metal siding also has a ding near the sidewalk. These are my targets to fix with this kit. This kit includes the everything from the glue gun, glue and the various glue tabs. The sliding metal hammer feels solid. The bridge dent bar that looks like metal is really a hard poly and not metal. What I like about this kit is that it includes the item that the various How-to videos show how to use. I have not used it yet. I am watching and learning, then I'm going to test/play on a spare, car trunk lid I have. I will probably have to get more glue sticks as it included 3 sticks of each of the 3 different types of glue sticks. I am not expecting 100% perfect results but I will try. ... show more
