This test light works great. I like that it has a readout of the exact voltage! I have an 8 volt battery and when I checked it, it had 7.7 volts in it, I would purchase this again!

As a professional automotive tech I use this test light often. I believe the voltage reading is accurate enough for basic checks (my more expensive DVOM shows the same voltage) and the test like works exactly like a test light should. My only complaints are that the clip at the end of the lead/cord is a little too small and the wire lead, which they claim will stretch to 78" isn't super robust and seems too short. That is- it works for moderate use but I don't think it's actually anywhere near that long and I'm not willing to stretch it out that far, at least not yet. I might get tired of the short lead and just stretch it all the way out and not care if it breaks. And that's a big deal if you need to find a good ground spot to clip the lead to. In my case I have a 20' roll of wire with clips at the end so I can make the shorter test light lead work, but if I didn't have that roll of wire I would be disappointed and look for the model that is exactly the same but has a longer lead for just a few dollars more.

This 12 volt circuit tester has always been my choice of tester. But this one has a numeric LED voltage reader. It’s well made and an extra long cord is very handy. If it dies, I’ll definitely get another one! I really like the upgraded version!

I bought and used this to hardwire a dashcam into both mine and my wife's car. Admittedly, I don't have much of any experience with electrical and the devices required for messing with it. The device comes with some pretty basic instructions about the device, like where to clip the ground/where to prod the device/how to read the lights. There is no explanation about what state the vehicle should be in when testing, I made the mistake of starting the engine when looking for acc power using this device and I created a pretty big spark. I thought I had fried the device for sure, but it took it like a champ and kept working. I researched a little better what I needed to, and after that was able to install the dashcams properly with no further issues. All in all, this worked great to help install a couple dashcams. It does feel a little flimsy, so I doubt an actual mechanic would want to throw this in his toolbox, but for someone who is probably going to install some dashcams, throw it into a drawer, and never touch it again? This gets the job done.
