The color is beautiful and will look great with different tops throughout the summer - I will just have to make sure and wear dark underwear, or even some bike shorts under. I ordered these for my wife. She liked the cinched waist look. These will look nice with a T-shirt tucked in. The length is good, not too short. I love the look of high waisted wide leg shorts, and as a thick-thighed girl, it's often hard to find shorts with legs are wide enough to comfortably wear. These are those shorts. I will end up having to modify the waist a little, but that's pretty normal for this type of body type. I got the coffee color and it's more of a darker taupe-y beige that is really flattering.
