Features

  • Unique Current Sensing Technology. If the tool motor connected to the 'A' port exceeds 30W, the vacuum connected to the 'B' port will automatically delay 1s to turn on, which helps prevent circuit overloaded by large current if tool and vacuum power-on at the same time
  • Make the Work More Effective. Automatic delays 1s to turn on the vacuum when you start your tool, and delays 7s to turn off the vacuum to clean the inlet tube when you complete your work. Saving time and electricity, reducing airborne toxin and work area noise that can lead many health problems
  • Suitable for Most Medium Duty Workloads. Etoolcity automatic vacuum switch has a starting threshold of approximately 0.25 amps(30watts at 120V and 60watts at 220V), perfectly suited for medium-sized work loads such as most Miter Saws, Table Saws, Power Sanders and Routers, and extend the life of your vacuum
  • More Safety. Adopting high-cost, UL-certified American Standard 14AWG power cord which allowable passage with a large current that more than 30A, the Etoolcity Automatic Vacuum Switch can work stably within 3600W. The switch's shell has PC+ABS V0 grade flame retardant material, it is more reliable and safe to protect work
  • Two Installation Methods. You can use screws to fix the power module part, or use strong nano-markless hook sticker to attach directly to the wall. Both ways are very strong

  • Great switch for small workshops
Color: Black
I no longer have to turn on the power tool and vacuum separately. I can keep them both connected to this switch and start cutting. They both engage and shot off in slightly delayed synchronicity. It drastically reduces the dust output by at least 75% or more. I use it on my table saw connected to a vortex separator and shopvac as well as similar setup with my miter saw. Two of the most dust producing tools I use most often. It's no replacement for a full air vac system, but does reduce the dust on individual tools effectively. I am prone to use my dust heavy tools more often because of the single push button ease, than I would if I had to hit two switches every time I want to make a cut. The boost in efficiency is well worth it. I used to say why bother, it's only a few quick cuts, which, in reality, output more dust than you would expect, creating a bigger mess to clean up. My shop isn't dust free, but there is far less build up than before, which is a vast improvement for such a modest expense. ... show more

  • Just what I needed

Works perfectly. Came with a nice little mounting bracket. Nice touch.

  • Works as Advertised Works as Advertised
Color: Black
This is an inexpensive solution for my miter saw station. Plug the saw into receptical "A" and the vacuum into receptical "B". That's it. It takes about 1-2 seconds for the vacuum to power up after starting the saw. The vacuum runs for about 5 seconds after powering down the saw. Perfect for my needs. Mounted on the wall right next to the power receptical. The pigtail is 14". It has two screw mounting holes. The whole thing is plastic. Not an issue for my use case. At this price point I'm sure the internal relay is typical Chinesium quality but you (mostly) get what you pay for. Seems like a decent unit so far. ... show more

  • This works very well
Color: Black
This seems to work pretty well, but I'll need to fully test it over a few months to see if it will be effective. The biggest drawback for me, is that my dust collection vacuum already has it's own soft start, so the built-in delay means I would need to wait even longer to begin my cut. This is pretty awkward with a miter saw, but more tolerable with a table saw or router. Here are the things I like and dislike about this product. Pros - Simple to set up. - Inexpensive. - Blends into the background once installed. - Offers a soft start to reduce combined current load. - Delayed turn off has a good default timing. Cons - Soft start delay should be adjustable from 0 to 3s -- something reasonable. - Turn off delay should be adjustable. - The outlets should be spaced further apart -- it feels cramped. - I would really like one that has multiple outlets so I can plug in various tools, to be used independently of course, yet still trigger a single vacuum. - How would one know that A or B indicates the tool or the vacuum -- confusing. ... show more

  • An extremely helpful tool at a very reasonable price.
Color: Black
I hate the reviews that begin by stating that "I have been in construction for 30 years and I know everything" However, I have been in construction for 30+ years but know for a fact I am deficient in a lot of areas. That being said one area I am not deficient in is knowing whether a tool is worthwhile or not. This tool makes using a shop vac with a saw so much more convenient that I am more apt to use a vac with a saw rather than just depending on the usually useless dust bags. I have used one of these outlet devices made by another manufacturer for years. It worked great, but the build of it was not sufficient to stand up to being kept on a work truck and used in the field. In all honesty, having just received it, I cannot speak to the longevity of this device. I can, however, speak reliably on the build. This outlet device has a far superior build to my previous device. The housing is a very rigid ABS plastic as opposed to the flimsy light weight plastic on my former device. Another big advantage, as I see it is that this device has a short heavy gauge power cord to plug it in rather than plugging directly into an outlet as my old one did. This should help alleviate the problem of the device falling out of the outlet. As this particular device I just purchased on Amazon was the same price as the one I paid for several years ago I consider this a no brainer. It just seems to be a very solid unit. If for some reason it does not perform as expected I will return and update this review. ... show more

  • Saves me time!
Color: Black
This works great! It was frustrating to always have to turn on/off the vac when powering up/down my saws. It created a bunch of extra steps that slowed down my workflow. So, I added this auto-switch. Now, I plug the saw into the 'master' socket, and plug the vac into the 'controlled' socket. When I power up the saw it starts the vac. Then powering off the saw, it delays powering off the vac to get the last of the dust. Now more of my effort goes into building something and not just turning things on and off. It's been a great time-saver for me. ... show more

  • Simple. Easy. Efficient. An absolutely wonderful device.
Color: Black
An inexpensive, effective device for keeping the air cleaner. It gives an impression of professionalism on a job site. So simple, it could be used in an insurance company's commercial. I like the 7 second cut-off delay. When you're on a miter saw and sneaking up on a line, you can adjust your stock and begin the next cut, well within the 7 seconds. This cycles the vacuum less and doesn't blow a 20 Amp breaker. While a thicker-gauge lead cord would be nice, I haven't had an issue with heat. Of course, I don't run the saw and vacuum, continuously. I run 15 Amp saws with a 5 HP, 9 Amp vacuum, cutting 3/4" solid-hardwood flooring (Oak, Hickory, Brazilian Cherry),1" thick stair treads and various trim. Plus, rips on a table saw. Zero problems. Very satisfied. ... show more
