I no longer have to turn on the power tool and vacuum separately. I can keep them both connected to this switch and start cutting. They both engage and shot off in slightly delayed synchronicity. It drastically reduces the dust output by at least 75% or more. I use it on my table saw connected to a vortex separator and shopvac as well as similar setup with my miter saw. Two of the most dust producing tools I use most often. It's no replacement for a full air vac system, but does reduce the dust on individual tools effectively. I am prone to use my dust heavy tools more often because of the single push button ease, than I would if I had to hit two switches every time I want to make a cut. The boost in efficiency is well worth it. I used to say why bother, it's only a few quick cuts, which, in reality, output more dust than you would expect, creating a bigger mess to clean up. My shop isn't dust free, but there is far less build up than before, which is a vast improvement for such a modest expense.

I built my own dust collection system with a unit from home depot mounted on a 5 gallon bucket then mounted on top of a rigid shop vac via PVC pipes and fittings with some scrap plywood and a few screws. This works very well mounted to my dust collection system with the vac in one plug and the table saw or miter saw in the other. I turn on the saw and within a few seconds the vac turns on automatically and then when I turn the saw off it leaves the vac running for about 10 seconds to get all the dust out of the hose then shuts off the vac. I would recommend this product for this use. It is great.

I dont know why I didnt buy one of these years ago. Being able to fire up the table saw and have the vacuum come on automatically is awesome,. I didn't realize how much time I spend going back and forth between the vacuum and the saw until I started using this. About the only knock I have is that it is made out of plastic, which makes me wonder how long it will ask. With that stated, I have not had a problem with it yet.

This unit operated correctly with a quick test but can't review it for the intended operation because SainSmart has been so slow taking care of fixing the operation of my Genmitsu 4030 cnc router. It's been out of operation for 3 weeks under warranty, with very little hope that it will be operational any time soon.

Does a great job on the table saw, router table and lathe. Less helpful on the compound miter saw. The one second delay frequently sees the vacuum kick on just as the saw is stopped. I understand the reason for the delay (I've done the same thing on industrial equipment countless times) but for a quick cut on a compound miter, the delay is counter productive. Best advice, trigger the saw, wait for the vacuum, then cut.
