These are the first and only hearing aids I've ever used so I can't offer a comparison. But I've worn them for several months now and can say that they definitely improve my ability to understand speech. I can also hear my cats meow from the other end of the house - a good thing! Some sounds that I don't really need to hear are also amplified but I suspect this is true of most hearing aids. All-in-all, I like them and wear them most every day. They are rechargeable so you don't need to buy new batteries. The ability to make changes to the volume and mode without removing them from your ears is definitely a plus. And they are reasonably priced. Also, I've had occasion to contact customer support with questions and they've responded quickly and professionally. ... show more

    • A good choice for this product range
They fit well. The recharge function seems to work well, although I could wish for an internal case pad to press the two units onto the charging pins when the case is closed. (Maybe just my engineer's hat talking.) Takes a while to remember the "touch pattern" to control the various changes, but it does work well. I did not want an "in the canal" type or an "over the ear" type, so this fit my needs. I could wish for a different color (instead of white) but it does not show very much even in white. Good buy! (My right ear hearing is worse than my left ear. I sometimes use just the right-ear unit and this has helped me.) ... show more
