After i had these hearing aids for about 3 months, one of them stopped working. Then a couple weeks later the other one quit too. about 6 months later I found I could register the hearing aids and Customer Support reached out to me. Just received it and have worn it a few days. I purchased this as a backup for my daily wear Starkey Hearing aid, specifically to wear outside and in sweaty environments. While the sound fidelity pales in comparison to my multi thousand dollar unit, the Autiphon works fine for what it is, a sound amplifier. It is not as intelligent at sound filtration but it fits good, works, is comfortable, and I get no feedback issues. Being in ear it is far less susceptible to sweat and moisture issues than my behind the ear unit. For the money it's a good buy and seems to be a quality unit. I tried the 139.00 autiphone and was impressed by the clarity of voice and reduction of background noises. Unfortunately the humidity here caused the 1st pair to fail. Good customer service and another pair was sent. Same problem. The sound was so superior I took a chance and upgraded. So far so good, been a few days hope these last longer. Really good sound but slightly tinny when volume is to high. Just takes some getting used to. These do a good job and are comfortable. Like many others these are a bit tinny sounding and not waterproof. I had the unfortunate experience of dropping one in water. I think all sellers of these should note old people are more likely to drop things and make them waterproof. Autiphon was nice enough to send me a replacement for free. The volume was limited straight out of the box, but I assumed the aids needed to be charged. I put them on charger overnight. The noise canceling is something new to me. I could certainly hear talking in a conversation, but the background noise was totally eliminated. The sound of voices seemed a little shallow without much depth or bass.
