I have some California Design sheets already that I love. I ordered another set. After washing the new set a few times, I started to notice pilling. Very uncomfortable! It feels like cookie crumbs in my bed. I then noticed the tag on the actual sheets says “Auraa”, instead of California Design Den, like my others. When they arrived from Amazon, they were in what looked like authentic California Design Den packaging. I think I was scammed. I would return, but it is too late. After purchasing a different set of 800TC 'luxury' sheets and being appalled by the lack of quality (see through, rough like sand paper, and major shrinkage), I was hesitant to try another set on Amazon. Let me tell you...BELIEVE all of these positive reviews. They are for real! This set is absolutely wonderful...thick, silky soft...HIGH QUALITY!! They wash beautifully with no shrinkage, and I can already tell that future washings are just going to make these better and better with regard to the luxuriousness of them. Another big bonus was the seller, themselves. I had a quick question for them after receiving this set, and I had a response back from them within minutes. Extremely attentive to their customers!     • Disappointed that these don’t have the elastic gripper edge.
I ordered these sheets in a twin size white and they were great, with the special gripper elastic. I liked them so much I ordered a set of light blue for my king bed. They did NOT have the elastic grip edge. This is the whole reason I purchased them. Apparently some colors do not have the gripper elastic but the way these are listed is misleading. There is even a question answered by the company which says they have the gripper elastic, but clearly not all colors do. The light ice blue color is very pretty. The sheets don’t feel as soft as my last organic set...time will tell when they are washed multiple times, if they get softer. ... show more

Bought these 800 thread count sheets from Amazon along with a set of Bamboo sheets. The Bamboo I love love the soft silky feel. I knew the santeen set did not fell that soft but reviews stated they get softer after washing. We just removed the sheets and washed for the first time before using. What a disapointment. Scratchy- burlap-and sandpaper come to mind. These will never go on my bed. I trusted the reviews so I was sure we would like them but did not take them out of the bad right away. Now I cannot return to Amazon but I fell duped and cheated. These could not be the same sheets most other reviewers were so happy with. I believe they are Counterfits. Horrible horrible sheets. By the way-1st negative review on anything bought on Amazon. ... show more

I already expressed this in another review, but beware tags saying Auraa in California Design packaging. The sheets are terrible and not worth keeping. The real thing is great if you get it though.

    • Feels like it's made from cardboard
If you are currently living or have recently been living under a bridge using card board boxes as sheets, then these will be a step up for sure. If you however are used to living in comfort with nice sheets, these will be several orders of magnitude below what you are used to. I kid you not, they feel rough and they make noise when you move. Find a cardboard box like you got from your last Amazon purchase. Rub your hand along the side. The sound you hear? That is exactly what it sounds like if you move in the bed. But that's not all!! That feel you feel? Yep, identical to a card board box. I mean hey, I just looked carefully at the description and it has the softness meter all the way to the right (hard) so I guess it is my fault for not paying attention. But if you buy these sheets it is your fault for not reading this review. P.S. While I was writing this my wife informed me she ran them through the wash 3 times in a row with fabric softener and dried them with the softener sheets and they still feel horrible. I hinted that she should just walk out to the curb and throw then into the trash before the trash collector arrives at 7am. ... show more

Finally a high quality set of sheets at an affordable price. After spending $300 plus on highly rated Bamboo sheets that were good but not worth the money I bought these on Prime Day. All cotton, 800 TC they wash well are really soft and hardly any wrinkles. I was surprised at the thickness (don't like thin sheets) and the 18 inch pocket easily fit my oversize king mattress. Time will tell how durable after repeated washing. I believe that due to the quality these sheets should last a long time. Highly recommended. ... show more

I was looking for thick, good quality sheets for my new apartment and it was an impossible task (or so I thought). I returned one new set and threw another new set away after one use because it was so thin. I get the impression people confuse soft and smooth. I wanted smooth, cool, cotton sheets i.e. not rough burlap sacks but not fleecy soft either because they get too hot. These sheets are so perfect you wouldn't believe. They do have over 200 5 star reviews after all so I shouldn't have been surprised. Oh and yes, they wrinkle a bit after washing and drying but nowhere near as much as other sets and personally I don't care. And all the new sets I've bought have smelt funny right out of the packaging but just wash them and they're fine. I would wash them anyway before using. I just wish they did more colors so I could replace all my bedding sets with these sheets ... show more
