Features

  • Advanced Adhesion - This glass bed comes coated in a carbon silicone layer that improves adhesion while using the hotbed. The textured surface grips plastics when heated and reduces warping on many parts with large surface areas.
  • Tool Free Removal - Once the print is finished, simply wait for the bed to cool to room temperature and the finished print will pop off of the carbon-silicone proprietary glass surface with minimal effort. No need for spatulas or scraper tools to pry the model from the bed and no more breaking delicate models which adhere too tightly to the build surface. As the temperature cools, micro-changes in the crystalline structure allow the surface to completely release the model for pain free removal.
  • Universal - This glass bed is well suited for all types of filament including: PLA, ABS, PETG, Nylon, TPU, Polycarbonate, wood and more. This tempered glass bed can sustain temperatures up to 115*C and higher, making it ideal for filaments with high shrinkage coefficients that require high temperatures to prevent warping.
  • CR-10S Pro, CR-X, CR-10 V2 and Ender-3 Max Upgrade - This glass bed is sized for the CR-10S Pro and CR-X 3D printers from Creality 3D. Much easier to use and more effective than the stock Aluminum bed that comes with the CR-10S Pro.

Description

Warnings: The CR-10S Pro, CR-X, CR-10 V2 and Ender-3 Max utilizes an Auto- Level sensor for the Z axis. In order to avoid damaging the glass bed during early use, please make sure your printer is well calibrated and works properly with the Stock aluminum bed before switching to the tempered glass bed. It is recommended to clean the glass bed well before its first use with a strong solvent such as isopropyl alcohol to remove any residue that may interfere with adhesion during prints. DO NOT attempt to remove models while the glass bed is heated to a high temperature this WILL result in damage to the proprietary surface as it is designed to only release the print once it is cooled to room temperature. DO NOT use this glass bed with the “Economy” setting on the CR-10S Pro. This setting will turn off the hotbed after a while during the print, and this may cause the glass bed to release the print, resulting in a failed print. Once you have started printing, you will find the “Economy” setting in the printers menus. Confirm that it is set to: OFF Temperatures guide by Filament type: PLA:50-60ºC ABS:100-125ºC PETG: 50-70ºC Polycarbonate:110-130ºC Nylon:100-120ºC TPU (Flexible): 50-70ºC

  • It does and doesn't work. Wouldn't recommend.
Been 3d printing for over 10 years now. I know my ins and outs down to the machine level. This build plate is a GREAT idea on paper. First 3 prints came off pretty well. After that, the surface, where I was printing became discolored a bit. Only using PLA btw. Tried cleaning the area with a soft damp cloth. Then I tried IPA. Basically I let the print cool and then had to tap it off the build plate. Also, this plate was not 100% flat. Calibration showed it to be off by several 100ths between the edges and the center. Even with auto-leveling that is a lot. Now I thought when I read others were just turning over the bed and using the glass side that there must be something they were missing and I surely would not have that problem. Wrong. The only way this thing actually works is if you just use the plain glass side. I use the purple glue stick method and have no problems whatsoever with this method. So the short of it is, this bed is really worthless with the coating on it. Your money is much better spent with getting a mirror glass tile. Why? Well, even decently made mirror glass HAS to be 100% flat or the reflection is warped. And because this is easily seen by the naked eye, the tiles tend to be extremely flat. This is a great idea and may work for a certain configuration, but it is not versatile enough to use in most configurations. Go with a mirror tile and the glue stick method. Great prints and easy to clean between prints with a water damp cloth and a 2nd clean drying cloth. Re-apply stick glue and go. Well what about hairspray you say? NO! That stuff gets on EVERYTHING! No way I want to spray that junk around my equipment. Especially after getting everything setup and calibrated. Happy Printing! ... show more

  • Fixes warped beds, but for adhesion read ahead
Let's be honest, the thin aluminum heated bed plates are never perfect. Depending on the temperature of the bed and certain hot spots the bed will have some distortion or curvature. Which makes prints still really well on some spots and fail on others. Using a glass bed will make the bed perfectly flat and level on all corners. That's the biggest advantage of glass. Adhesion will vary depending on the filament. Some filaments like standard PLA stick great to this bed as long as it's clean. Adding a little water soluble glue stick or hairspray works too. Silk and "quantum" PLA and PETG and TPU LOVE to stick to blue painters tape ontop of the glass. ABS sticks to the glass really well with a PET tape/film. Nylon and ASA blue painters tape. Anyway the point is, the glass bed and Creality's coating is excellent for the right purpose. If you have any issues with adhesion, first clean the bed with alcohol. If that fails use glue sticks or hairspray. If that fails use blue painters tape. Excellent product. ... show more

  • A great bargain
Finally decided to get an ultrabase after seeing one on my friends ender 3 and I’m extremely happy with mine. My prints just pop off now with minimal force, unlike before when it could be a nightmare at times to get them off. I’m glad I don’t need to worry about finding my scraper anymore or that i might accidentally break my print. Arrived quickly. Would recommend. ... show more

  • Let the bed cool down
My prints were sticking with the stock bed that ships with the CR-10s Pro so I upgraded to this based on reviews. At first I was disappointed because the prints were still sticking to this new bed! The "trick" is to wait for the bed to cool down to room temperature. If you want to grab the spatula, you are trying to remove the print too soon. Sometimes the prints pop off before the bed has completely cooled down but you're best bet is to just wait. This morning I checked on some parts I had printed overnight and they didn't require any force to lift off the bed. Another tip: The I found that running the bed warmer at 65C helped keep PLA from warping. I'm very happy with this upgrade and recommend it! Update #1: Not long after I posted my glowing review, my PLA print stuck so hard to the bed that I damaged the bed's surface while trying to remove it and some of the coating peeled off. This was after a long cool-down to room temperature. I'm going to try a flexible magnetic board next. Update #2: Back to 5 stars. Worked with seller and determined the first bed was defective. A replacement bed arrived shortly thereafter and it's working perfectly again. Great support and will buy this again when needed. ... show more

  • Had some trouble at first BUT found a solution.
The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because I had some trouble leveling when I first got this tempered glass bed. Everything shipped okay and there weren't any damages but when I was leveling I noticed that when I got the corners leveled nicely (I use the paper level method), the center of the bed was much higher than the corners and I couldn't even move the paper around. I would go around the corners second time and they'd be nice and leveled but again the center was much higher. I would then level the center, turning all the knobs together to get the center nice and leveled, but then the corners were much too low. I tried to put sticky notes under the corners of the bed to try and raise them but that didn't work. I tried to loosen the screws on the actual metal bed underneath the glass but that didn't work either. I even tried to loosen and retighten all the screws on the X axis to see if there was a droop in my X axis bar but nothing. What eventually worked was I actually just turned the bed over and tried leveling the bed upside down and to my surprise it worked. Everything leveled evenly and I was printing shortly after. After a few prints the glass bottom is working really well and the bottom of my prints are a nice glossy finish. So the 4 stars is for the actual behavior of the bed itself (the bottom of it anyway). Its adhering nicely and when its cooled down, the prints come off like butter. BUT having the leveling issues at first is why that last star is missing. I could've just gone out and got a glass tile to have the same effect for cheaper. But not sure if it's something that I did wrong or didn't do at all or the fact that I may have received a warped bed. For now it's working upside down. ... show more
