The saddle I liked but the overgirth was way too small. The saddle is wide, I had to use a western pad (not a problem just info for those looking to buy). It's comfortable and exactly what I wanted. I needed something a little more secure for working with my youngsters. I didn't care for the stirrups (typical western style) so I used my English stirrups instead. I purchased this saddle for my son's halflinger who is built like a tank. If you are looking for a saddle for wide horses this is the saddle for you. Other reviews have said this is a wide saddle, this is very true. My son's previous saddle was a wintec english saddle with extra wide gullet plate. The one up from the red gullet plate. This saddle is as beautiful as the picture. The leathers are for someone over 5ft 7in. They are very long. We switched them out for english irons and leathers.     • Poor stirrup leathers design…the over girth could be longer too.

When we put the saddle together, we realized that the stirrup leathers (fenders) were way too long for my husband and I. My husband is 5’5” and I am 5’2”. You’d have to be at least 5’7” or more to use these. The way the leathers are made do not allow for adjustments for us. It would behoove the company to spend a few more dollars and get fully adjustable leathers. We now have to make a decision whether to send the saddle back or pay more money to buy the correct leathers. ... show more
