  • Attractive frame, amazing pictures, very easy to add pictures
Color: 9" - Graphite
I'm an amateur photographer. I was looking for an easy way to display my many pictures. I was not disappointed!! You will not be disappointed. (I'm a REAL person, I'm NOT getting paid by the manufacturer). You will love the picture quality, the frame quality, and how easy it is to add pictures from your phone or computer. One of the best purchases I ever made. I love it so much, that I bought a second frame today to display my many travel pictures. The first frame is being used to display my MANY family photos. (As I said, I'm an amateur photographer). You won't be disappointed!! I can't speak to the tech support as I have not had any issues. But the one thing I will say is, google youtube on how to use it and you'll see for yourself how easy it is to use. That's how I got started using it quickly. ... show more

  • Pretty good digital photo frame with easy-to-use software and phenomenal customer support
Color: 9.7" - Sandstone
I've had this frame for a little over a year and it randomly stopped working one night and wouldn't turn on again the next morning sometime between our scheduled off/on hours (a feature the software offers). Since it had been 13 months since I purchased it and the warranty is listed as 12 months, I figured that was just the way things go for me and reached out to support to ask if they accept frames for diagnostics and repair and what their rates for such are and much to my chagrin they just offered to replace it outright, because, and I quote from their email; "We apologize for the inconvenience; we want to make sure you have the best possible experience with your Aura frame!" This is why I love the smaller, more labor-of-love type companies. The companies that sit in the comfortable spot between so-small-they-fold and too-big-to-care. They value their customers! The product itself is pretty good, resolution is reasonable and the app and software itself is easy to use. I purchased this frame after one of our cats passed away last year; I couldn't decide which pictures of his to print out, so I took a shot on a digital frame so we could display a selection of his photos while we were grieving. It was super easy to hook up my Apple Photo albums to automatically import into the frame. Now that iOS 17 and MacOS Sonoma have pet face detection, it's been a breeze getting the frame to display every single photo we've ever taken of our dearly departed furbabies without having to manually find them in all our pictures. For pictures that aren't the right aspect ratio, some photos do have to be manually aligned for display via the app, but it's pretty easy to do and it doesn't modify your photos; you can also elect to use black or the extended-and-blurred letterboxing on the sides or top/bottom depending on if you use the frame in portrait or landscape mode, or you can zoom to prevent that altogether. It also plays videos, and while they disclaimed the ability to auto-import videos from iOS albums, my experience was that they showed up anyways. As an added bonus, there's a kind of private social-networking type aspect to the app; you can add anyone you want to your frame so they can add pictures to it, and you can heart and comment on the photos in the app. So it's probably great for families or friends who are either separated by distance or just love sharing photos with their loved ones (I'm one of those weird types who really only displays photos of pets, and until i teach them to use the phone it's going to be just me using the frame) Highly recommend this company and their products! Will submit a photo of it in action once the replacement arrives! ... show more

  • Love this frame
Color: 9" - Graphite
The frame is high quality and well made. I like that it can handle portrait and landscape. The app is great and super easy to add pictures. I love that I can see what is being displayed on the frame using the app. This would be perfect for managing for long distance users like older relatives.

  • Best gift ever
Color: 9" - Graphite
Got this for my mom for Christmas and it’s probably the best gift I’ve ever given her. She loves how easy it is to upload photos from her phone, and also loves that it will play videos too! Great product and understand why they’re getting so much love. Definitely recommend.

  • Great gift, easy setup!
Color: 9" - Graphite
No major issues to report. Actually considering buying another as a gift (if I can get a decent deal). Makes it easy to share photos from multiple people. Ability to edit photos once in the app is minimal, but it's also super-simple to just remove, edit on your phone, ad re-add. Does need to be plugged in, so consider placement - cord is decently long. Only thing I'm trying to figure out is if there's a way to keep it from going to sleep/automatically shutting down in a low-light situation... ... show more

  • Mason vs. Skylight
Color: 9" - Graphite
We purchased the Skylight and the Mason to compare. The Skylight had a larger screen, but lower resolution. App was a little clunky, the way you add photos in the Skylight app leaves a little to be desired. The Mason on the other hand had a great app, adding photos was very intuitive. The Mason had a noticeably better resolution than the Skylight, although it is about one inch smaller. The size difference was not a big deal for us, but is noticeable. We prefer the Mason frame aesthetically to the Skylight. The Mason was a close win for us with one issue which swayed us towards the Skylight in the end. The issue was screen brightness. On the Skylight, the screen was adequately bright in the daytime. The Mason however has a automatic brightness feature which adjusts to ambient light conditions. While this is a nice feature which will turn the frame off when the lights are out, in our opinion the auto light brightness was just too low in daytime conditions. Shining a flashlight at the frame produced a brightness that we preferred. Also factoring in to our decision was the fact that this was a present for my parents. We are in our late 30's, and found the brightness to be borderline. I will say it is more like a photo, however when you place the frame side by side with the brighter Skylight, it's hard not to desire more brightness. You feel relaxed looking at the Skylight, the Mason is a little of a strain. If I was keeping this frame for myself, I might have gone with the Mason given the better aesthetics of the frame, better app design and significantly better resolution. However, I would still have preferred the ability to turn up the brightness through software even for my eyes. Maybe in the future Aura will add this feature to the app. As it stands, neither frame - surprisingly - has a brightness adjustment. ... show more
